    • PURPOSE:To adjust refractive index between the main agent and bride agent which form a bonding agent in order to prevent generation sparcle and improve picture quality by using unsaturated ester as the bride agent of bonding agent which is used for bonding a non-reflective transparent plate to the face plate portion. CONSTITUTION:The bonding agent 3' used for bonding the non-reflective transparent plate 4 to the face plate of CRT contains unsaturated polyester main chain (refractive index: 1.50) as the main agent, stylene (refractive index: 1.54) as the bridge agent and unsaturated ester which has double coupling within the molecules (refractive index: 1.45). Thereby, polymerization of only the discrete stylene is prevented, production of polystylene (refractive index: 1.55 or more) is interfared and stylene and unsaturated ester are polymerized. As a result, the refractive index of this polymer becomes about 1.504 and it is adjusted to a value near to the refractive index of 1.50 of the unsaturated polyester main chain. Therefore, difference of refractive indices within the bonding agent 3' can be eliminated, generation of sparcle generated by difference of refractive indices can be prevented and high quality picture can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent any accident of inferior conduction at high voltage by forming a conductive graphite film on a metallic film formed by vapordeposition on the peripheral irregular surface of a phosphor film which is formed on the inner surface of a bulb panel and extends to the slant inner surface of the reinforced area. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent film 2 and an aluminum film 3 are formed on a bulb 1a which has a reinforced area, the inner surface of which is oblique to the screen portion, between the screen section and the side section. Next, the area located between point (A) and point (B) is coated with a conductive graphite film 4. Since a highly conductive film can be formed by using a graphite even on the irregular phosphor surface, any accident of inferior conduction at high voltage can be prevented by the graphite film 4. The conductive film 4 may be a fine stripe and can be easily formed using a brush.

      CONSTITUTION: The inner surface of a panel is coated with a fluophor of the formula (where X is Al and/or Ga; Y is Ge and/or Si; x is 0.01W0.3).
      EFFECT: The cathode ray tube shows no afterimage and minimized lowering of fluorescence caused by an increase in the current density or temperature of electron beams and contains a green color developing component having a high luminance in a high current density zone.

This facilitates to exceedingly and easily improve temperature characteristic and luminance saturation characteristics, and to obtain a clear, stable color-picture tube.
