    • PURPOSE:To obtain a detector having a uniform capacity, by detecting the fluorescence due to the radiation of phosphor particles held in a vessel, which has a light reflective inside wall and has a light transmissive window partially, in the detector of an X- ray CT or the like. CONSTITUTION:A vessel 1 has the inside wall coated with a film consisting of silver or the like, which has a high reflection factor for visible and near infrared rays, and is formed with a radiation shielding material such as lead except the incidence face of radiant rays 6. Phosphor particles 2 are held in the vessel 1 and have an average particle size of 5-15mum and consist of Y2O2S, La2O2S, Gd2O2S, Lu2O2S, LaOBr, BaFCl, BaFBr, and BaSO4, which are invigorated by one, at least of Eu, Pr, and Tb, and CdS or Cu, Al, and CdS or Ag, Cl, ZnS or Cu, Al, and CaWO4 or CdWO4. The light emitted from particles 2 is led by an optical guide 3 and is received on a photodetector 5 and is converted to an electric signal. The layer of particles 2 is fixed with an epoxy resin or the like. Thus, a detector having a uniform capacity is obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To obtain a blue light-emitting phosphor with prolonged after-grow for a color display tube with excellent luminance, by baking oxides of Sr, Ca, Mn and Sb, etc. with addition of a sulfate of K, Rb, Na or Cs as a flux.
      CONSTITUTION: Oxides of Sr, Ca, Mn and Sb, or compounds forming these oxides by heating are well mixed and then fired at about 1,100°C. The fired product is crushed and then fired again at about 1,200°C in O
