    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus capable of improving a contrast ratio in a bright room and preventing moire phenomenon from occurring.
      SOLUTION: Disclosed is a display apparatus comprising a panel assembly including a plurality of light-emitting cells divided into a light-emitting region and a non light-emitting region surrounding the light-emitting region, as viewed from a viewer, and a display filter disposed on the panel assembly and including an external light-shielding layer, the external light-shielding layer having light-shielding patterns formed on a side of the external light-shielding layer, wherein an area of the light-emitting region occupies about 60% or more of a total area of the plurality of light-emitting cells, and wherein a bias angle formed by an advancing direction of the light-shielding pattern and a longitudinal side of the panel assembly is about 5 degrees or less. The external light-shielding layer is applied to the display apparatus, thereby effectively preventing the moire phenomenon from occurring.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a Braun tube by increasing the adhesive strength and the mechanical strength of the reflection-preventing film by forming minute convex areas on the coating surface by abrading and washing it with an abrasive containing a surface active agent. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive (A) is prepared which is principally composed of CeO2 and contains a surface active agent such as an anionic surface active agent. The abrasive (A) is mixed with water in a ratio of 1:1 and the thus prepared mixture is used to abrade the coating surface 1 of a panel using a stainless steel scrubbing bruch thereby forming a rough surface. After that, silica coating is performed on the rough surface, thereby forming a coating film 2 made of SiO2.

    • PURPOSE:To observe a picture clearly with a noraml attitude, by fitting a reflection preventing plate adjustable for the angle and length to a frame surrounding a cathode ray tube and preventing the reflection of light on the cathode ray tube screen. CONSTITUTION:The length of the reflection preventing plate 6 is adjusted by expanding and shrinking the plate 6 toward the arrow (b) and its angle is adjusted by turning the plate 6 toward the arrow (a). Thus, even if an angle to the cathode ray tube screen 4 is different from viewers, since the angle and the length of the reflection plate 6 are adjusted accordingly, no reflection of light on the cathode ray tube 4 exists and the reflection preventing plate 6 is fixed easily at a position where a viewer of normal attitude observes the picture clearly. When a monitor television 1 is not used, the reflecting plate 6 is folded small and contained in the inside of the surrounding frame 7.
