CONSTITUTION:A frame memory 30 stores first and second data included in first and second video signals, and a buffer 80 stores the second data being input and output. A time indicating means 10 outputs a blanking period or an effective period of the first video signal as a timing signal. A time division control means 20, receiving a request for the assignment of transfer periods for inputting and outputting between the frame memory 30 and the buffer 80 for the second data outputs from the buffer 80, outputs a transfer permission to the buffer 80 in order to assign one side period out of informed periods by the time indicating means 10. The buffer 80 submits the request for the assignment of the transfer periods to the time division control means 20, and performs the input and output to and from the frame memory 3 of the second data, when the transfer periods are assigned.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement for deterioration of a picture quality due to the correction of a transmission error by omitting an unnecessary rewriting after the completion of a matching between a transmitting device and a receiving device. CONSTITUTION:The receiving device calculates the parity signal of every frame, and compares it with the parity signal from the transmitting device, but when a notice saying that a rewrite signal for a range (b) has been received and a frame memory has been updated and a discordance between the transmitting and the receiving side has been eliminated, is transmitted by the termination time t2 of the second frame period of the transmitting device, it is secured that the transmission error is corrected even if the rewrite information for the ranges (c), (d) is not transmitted. Besides, when the notice saying that the discordance between the transmitting and the receiving side has been eliminated, is too late for the time t2, the transmission of the rewrite information for the range (d) can be omitted by the notice transmitted during the third frame period. Thus, by continuing to refer to a transmission error detection signal during the transmission period of the rewrite information as well, and by omitting the transmission of the rewrite information after the completion of the error correction, the picture quality of a received picture can be improved.
