    • PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the efficiency and to decrease the power consumption by a method wherein the delivery of blowers and the capacity of compressors are reduced in accordance with room temperature during reduced load and, when all the compressors are brought to a standstill, the delivery of the blowers are reduced further in the air conditioner equipped with a plurality of refrigerating cycles. CONSTITUTION:Under the condition that the first and second refrigerating cycles are put into operation because of large load, an operating heat exchanger is also under the condition that heat pipes 21 and 22 are under operation and the blower 12 delivers its maximum air quantity. When load decreases, temperature change is detected by a room temperature detecting sensor 24, the output of which is inputted to a temperature controller 25 in order to lower the speed of the blower 11 and to capacity-control or on-off-control the compressors 2 and 3 through a transducer 26 and a blower speed controlling unit 27. Consequently, when one of the compressors is brought to a standstill, one of the refrigerating cycles also comes to a stop. When all the compressors come to a stop, the delivery of the blowers are reduced further. Owing to the structure as mentioned above, the energy efficiency is improved and consequently the decrease of power consumption can be resulted.

    • PURPOSE:To make uniform the activity rate of compresssors of an air conditioner equipped with two compressors and two refrigerating cycles and to attain comfortable operation of the air conditioning through alternate defrosting operation, by designing its electric circuits to enable manual switching of the two compressors and simultaneous defrosting and space-heating operation. CONSTITUTION:A manual change-over switch 31 is connected between a contact 15 and exciting coils 1c, 2c, a timer 16, and positive contacts 1a2, 2a2 of the coils 1c, 2c are connected in parllel to the timer 16. On the T-phase side of defrosting thermostats 21, 22 with timers, a contact 18a2 of an exciting coil 18c is connected to a timer 22'' of the thermostat 22 while a contact 19a2 of an exciting coil 19c is connected to a timer 21'' of the thermostat 21. Further, positive contacts 18a, 19a of the exciting coils 18c, 19c are used as feeder switches for a fan 3 disposed on the outside of a chamber No.1 and a fan 4 disposed on the outside of chamber No.2, and feeder lines are connected to compressor switches 1a, 2a. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to make uniform the activity rate of the compressors and to perform simultaneous defrosting and space- heating operation through manual switching of the compressors.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the sticking operation of heat insulating material and to stick the heat insulating material firmly to small area part by a method wherein heat insulating fibers are stuck directly to hinged doors and detachable parts at open-and-shut parts of a blow-off hole part. CONSTITUTION:The air conditioner 1 exchanges the heat of the open air absorbed by a blower 2 from a suction hole 7 through a heat exchanger 8 and discharges the open air from the blow-off hole 6 through the blower 2. In times of heating operation, part of the warm air is discharged from the blower 2 to a lower blow-off hole 4 through a blowing duct 3 and a hinged door 5 is provided at the lower blow-off hole 4 while in times of cooling operation it is shut. Adhesive heat insulating material 11 is stuck to the whole surface of the hinged door 5, both performances as packing and heat insulator 11 can be satisfied with the adhesive heat insulating material 11 and the sticking operation of the heat insulating material and the number of heat insulating material parts can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of connecting wires between indoor and outdoor units by a method wherein a contact of a first defrosting thermostat is connected in series with a timing relay motor of a second defrosting thermostat while a contact of the second defrosting thermostat is connected in series with a timing relay motor of the first defrosting thermostat. CONSTITUTION:In case where heat exchangers of first and second outdoor units are defrosted so that the surface temperature of each of the heat exchangers falls down below the set temperature of the first defrosting thermostat 14 and the set time for the timing relay motor 19 of the first thermostat 14 expires, the contact 16 of the thermostat is opened, an auxiliary relay coil 8 and a four- way valve coil 12 are deenergized and a defrosting operation for the first outdoor unit is started. In this case, since the contact 16 of the thermostat 14 is opened, the timing relay motor 18 of the second defrosting thermostat 15 of the second outdoor unit is deenergized. Thus, when a defrosting operation for the second outdoor unit is started, the first outdoor unit is so controlled that the defrosting operation for the unit is not started.
