CONSTITUTION:Multi-purpose outdoor units 25, 26 comprise respectively compressor 27, 28 outdoor heat exchangers 29, 30, outdoor fans 31, 32, etc. On the other hand, an indoor unit 19 connected to the outdoor units 25, 26 comprises an indoor fan 5, indoor heat exchanger 12 having circuits corresponding to respective units 25, 26, etc. In case of employing two refrigerating cycle system, the indoor heat exchanger 12 is arranged such that heat exchanging medium circulating pipes 35 for outdoor unit 25 and that 36 for outdoor unit 26 are disposed in a zigzagged manner in heat exchanging fins 33. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to make the heat transfer area of an inoperative heat exchanger effective for an operative heat exchanger in case that the refrigerating cycle of either of the two outdoor units is kept at rest.

    • PURPOSE: To secure heat capacity required for defrosting as well as to eliminate disconfort from exposure to cooled air blown out by a method wherein during defrosting procedure, an air blower remains operated until temperature of air blown out reduces to a temperature not more than a predetermined value, then the blower is turned OFF.
      CONSTITUTION: A set of contacts 4 of a contactor and an exciting coil 5 are switched to a set of contacts 21 of auxiliary relay and its exciting coil 22, then the set of contacts 4 of the contactor is connected between the lower temperature position of a tow-stage temperature controller 13 and an exciting coil 15. On the other hand, the exciting coil 5 is to be opened upon the temperature of additional air blow-out being reduced to a predetermined temperature or lower. A thermostat 23, a set of contacts of an auxiliary relay 7 and a set of contacts 16 of an auxiliary relay are 7 and a set of contacts 16 of an auxiliary rely are connected in parallel to an exciting coil 22. During defrositing in heating status, temperature of air blown out connot be reduced to the set temperature of the thermostat 23 for a while by the effect of heat capacity of an indoor heat exchanger even after the heat exchanger is switched from a condenser to an evaporator, so that discomfort from exposure to air blown out can be eliminated.

CONSTITUTION:The coagulation type that accumulating material 1, such as sodium thiouslfate, calcium chloride hexahydrate, etc. is enclosed between a cylindrical vessel 2 and an inner cylinder 3, and both ends of the vessel 2 and the inner cylinder 3 are hermetically sealed by insulating washers 4. The heater elements 6, which are disposed in shape that heat can be transmitted to the heat accumulating material 1, are encased into the inner cylinder 3, and heater terminals 7, 7a are fixed at both ends. Heat is generated from the heating wires 6 through conduction, heat is accumulated into the heat accumulating material 1, and heat is supplied properly for demand as necessary.

    • PURPOSE:To make uniform the activity rate of compresssors of an air conditioner equipped with two compressors and two refrigerating cycles and to attain comfortable operation of the air conditioning through alternate defrosting operation, by designing its electric circuits to enable manual switching of the two compressors and simultaneous defrosting and space-heating operation. CONSTITUTION:A manual change-over switch 31 is connected between a contact 15 and exciting coils 1c, 2c, a timer 16, and positive contacts 1a2, 2a2 of the coils 1c, 2c are connected in parllel to the timer 16. On the T-phase side of defrosting thermostats 21, 22 with timers, a contact 18a2 of an exciting coil 18c is connected to a timer 22'' of the thermostat 22 while a contact 19a2 of an exciting coil 19c is connected to a timer 21'' of the thermostat 21. Further, positive contacts 18a, 19a of the exciting coils 18c, 19c are used as feeder switches for a fan 3 disposed on the outside of a chamber No.1 and a fan 4 disposed on the outside of chamber No.2, and feeder lines are connected to compressor switches 1a, 2a. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to make uniform the activity rate of the compressors and to perform simultaneous defrosting and space- heating operation through manual switching of the compressors.
