    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect abnormality and to stably maintain high image quality by providing three or more state detection parts and deciding an abnormality detection range where the abnormality of the state detection part is detected according to correlation among them. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a printer engine 204 equipped with an electrifier 2, an exposure device 3, a developing machine 4, a transfer machine 5 and a photoreceptor cleaner 6 around a photoreceptor 1, and a printer controller 200 controlling the engine 204. Furthermore, the device is equipped with two temperature and humidity sensors 8-1 and 8-2, a surface potential sensor 9 and an adhesive amount sensor 10 as the state detection means inside the engine 204. An abnormality detection control part 300 in the controller 200 decides the detection range where the abnormality of the sensor is detected based on measured values by at least three sensors. Then, the control part 300 can be provided outside the controller 200. This method is easily applied to a full color image forming device.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a color overlapping system of a color image at a comparatively low cost with high accuracy and high stability by using error information to form a multi-color image according to revised color image information. SOLUTION: An offset detection section 17 using CCDs placed on a carrying transfer belt 9 detects positions of marks in thin lines by each print unit 13 onto the carrying transfer belt 9 in the detection of the offset. An error information calculation section 18 calculates an offset amount that is error information of an image start point, an image width and a rotary angle in the main scanning direction and the subscanning direction from a reference position between images on the basis of data from the offset detection section 17. An image information revision section 24 converts recorded image information data 1 including a plurality of color image information sets sent from a computer or the like on the basis of offset information 22 being the calculated error information and each print process control section 3 controls a print mechanism section including each color interpolation system control section 2 on the basis of the converted data for printing.
