    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve corrosion resistance by forming electrodes for signal detection of Nb, Ta, Cr or alloys mainly composed of these materials. SOLUTION: A lower shielding film 2 consisting of NiFe and a first gas gap film 3 consisting of SiO2 are laminated on a substrate 1 formed by using an Al2O3.Tic plate. In succession, a magneto-resistive film 4 consisting of an NiFe alloy thin film is deposited thereon in such a manner that its film thickness attains 0.04 μm. This film is than patterned to a rectangular shape by a photolithography technique. An Nb film is thereafter deposited and is patterned, by which electrodes 5a, 5b for signal detection are formed. Low- electric resistance films 6 of Cu are formed on the electrodes 5a, 5b for signal detection. Second gap layers (SiO2) and soft film upper shielding films (NiFe) for impressing bias magnetic fields are formed on these patterns. The materials exposed on the sliding surfaces with the recording medium turn to Al2O3.Tic, SiO2, NiFe and Nb having the high corrosion resistance. The probability that these materials corrode during use is extremely lessened.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a record blurring at a recording head by making sizes of an upper and a lower parts of a shared magnetic layer agree with breadths necessary for a shield layer and a magnetic pole respectively. SOLUTION: When an upper and a lower parts of a shared magnetic layer have different specific magnetic permeabilities and saturation magnetic flux densities, with a recording magnetic pole being layered on a magnetoresistance effect type reproduction head, the reproduction head has a magnetoresistance effect element 4 of a thin film of Permalloy via an insulating layer between magnetic shield layers 2 and 6 serving also as magnetic poles. A lower magnetic pole 19 of a recording head is formed on the upper magnetic shield layer 6. At this time, the magnetic shield is formed of Permalloy of a film thickness of 0.7 μm and the magnetic pole 19 is formed of CoTaZr of a saturation magnetic flux density of 1.3T. Thereafter, a coil is formed via an insulating layer 8, onto which an upper magnetic pole 7 is formed. The lower magnetic shield layer 2, upper magnetic shield layer 6, lower magnetic pole 19 and upper magnetic pole 7 have sizes in a breadthwise direction of tracks of 100 μm, 90 μm, 8 μm and 6 μm respectively.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impedance of wiring of an extraction line/wiring integrated type suspension and to improve a transmission characteristic of a circuit by arranging external connection terminals so that the terminals making a pair in the circuit each other are adjacent and arranging an electromagnetic conversion element to hold it between the external connection terminals making a pair in the circuit. SOLUTION: An underlying insulation layer is deposited upon a substrate, and a reproducing magnetoresistive effect element 3 is formed on it, and simultaneously, reproducing extraction line 5-b connected to the external connection terminal is formed on it. Further, a recording inductive head element 6 and a recording extraction line 5-a are formed on it, and respective extraction lines are connected on the positions of the corresponding external connection terminals by through holes 7. In such a case, the external connection terminals 4-b are formed on the position holding the electromagnetic conversion element 10 between them, and the extraction lines 5-a pass through the side of the external connection terminal 4-b of one side of the electromagnetic conversion element 10, and form the external connection terminal pair 11-a. Thus, the area of the extraction line is expanded, and the impedance of the wiring is reduced.
