    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to detect the layer short circuit of electric winding without stopping a system, by successively comparing the voltage between terminals of a block coil and the set voltage of a data accumulation apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At the point of time when a layer short circuit is generated, spike shaped voltage is generated in a block coil 2. This voltage is generated so as to accomplish such a purpose that the rate-of-current change of an one turn coil in which the layer short circuit is generated is large and reverse voltage is induced to the remaining windings in the block coil 2 in which the layer short circuit is generated as the counteraction thereof. Therefore, the voltage value 9 between the terminals of the indivisual block coil 2 is always observed and successively compared to the voltate value set to a data accumulation apparatus 6 by a voltage comparison circuit 7 to make it possible to detect the layer short circuit of a troidal magnetic field coil without stopping a system.
