摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the scattering of an image forming medium into space and irregularities in the array of an image and to maintain cleaning performance by installing a charger supplying a charge having a polarity opposite to that of the image forming medium to a transfer material carrying means and the rear of an transfer material after being separated from the transfer material carrying means. CONSTITUTION:For preventing the separated electrification and Paschen discharge of the transfer material 2 and the transfer material carrying means 4, a DC voltage source 21 connected to a recovering roller 31 is connected to a roller 5 to apply the positive potential of the polarity opposite to that of the image forming medium to the roller 5 and further the charger 13 supplying a positive charge having the polarity opposite to that of the image forming medium is installed in a position opposite to the roller 5. In other words, the positive charge having the polarity opposite to that of the image forming medium is supplied to the rear of the transfer material 2 after being separated from the transfer material carrying means 4, so that the charger 13 is installed in such a manner that a surface opposite to the surface of the transfer material 2 on which an unifixed image forming medium is stuck is turned to an opening, in a place just after the separation of the transfer material 2 from the transfer material carrying means 4.

CONSTITUTION:A transfer voltage is applied from a side opposite to the recording paper carrying surface of the belt to transfer a powder toner image formed on a first recording body such as a photoreceptor drum l onto the second recording body such as the recording paper 5, then, it is separated from the belt 7 by a belt rear surface member 9 to which a voltage having the same polarity as that of the transfer voltage is applied and AC corona or pulsating flow corona is applied to the separating part of and the belt 7 and the recording paper 5 to electrostatically remove the toner, paper powder, etc., stuck to the belt 7 after the recording paper 5 is separated. Further, a toner scattering suppressing electrode 11 is provided in a position facing an AC corona applying means 10 across the recording paper 5 and the voltage having the same polarity as that of the charge of the toner is applied to this electrode 11.

摘要： PURPOSE:To surely prevent deterioration of a transfer belt caused by wear by providing a reverse-polarity charger downstream of a position where paper is separated from a transfer belt, in the direction of paper feed, for cleaning the transfer belt. CONSTITUTION:A reverse-polarity charger 8 is placed downstream of a position P where paper 12 is separated from a transfer belt 1, in the direction of paper feed, and is removably supported by charger supporting portions 13a, 13b. Of the charger supporting portions 13a, 13b, at least the charger supporting portion 13b is molded from plastics and has a rib 13c provided in the upper portion thereof to guide the paper 12. When a toner transferred onto the transfer belt 1 passes near the reverse-polarity charger 8, the toner polarity on the transfer belt 1 is reversed to + since a positive voltage is being applied to the reverse- polarity charger 8. In this case, materials left on the transfer belt 1 can be removed by application of a voltage to the reverse-polarity charger 8 simultaneous with the start of rotation of the transfer belt 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To increase attraction between a transfer material and toner, to prevent an offset phenomenon and erroneous printing by imparting the potential of a polarity reverse to that of the toner to a surface opposite to the toner sticking surface of the transfer material on a part where a carrying guide plate is installed, on a fixing roll entrance. CONSTITUTION:The transfer material 8 separated from a carrying belt 13 comes into contact with the carrying guide plate 19 installed on the entrance of a fixing unit 10 and is led to the fixing unit 10 while being rubbed. At this time, the contact surface of the transfer material 8 with the carrying guide plate 19 and a fluororesin layer 19a on the carrying guide plate 19 are charged by the friction. In the friction with the transfer material 8, a negative charge is generated on the fluororesin layer 19a being a negative electrifying system. On the contrary, the contact surface of the transfer material 8 with the carrying guide plate 19 is supplied with a positive charge. The electrostatic attraction of the toner 24 of the transfer material 8 is increased by the positive charge newly imparted to the surface opposite to the sticking surface of the toner 24 on the transfer material 8, with respect to the charge toner 24. Thus, on the press-contact part of the heating roller 10a of the fixing unit 10 with a pressure roll 10 fixing is performed while the separation of the toner 24 from the transfer maternal is suppressed.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device that is free from scattering of toner to the space and disturbance of an image arrangement and keeps transfer belt cleaning performance high. CONSTITUTION:Bias potential having' the polarity opposite to that of toner is applied to a roller 11 coinciding with the position where a recording medium is separated from a transfer belt 10. Also, in the place opposite to the roller 11, a charge application device 14 for supplying charges having the polarity opposite to that of the toner to the recording medium and the transfer belt 10 is provided. The recording medium is destaticized by the charge application device 14 to prevent the recording medium from being electrified after the separation. The destaticization effect of the charge application device 14 is enhanced by improving the performance of a transfer belt cleaner, and by applying the bias potential to the roller 5 coinciding with the position where the recording medium is separated from the transfer belt 10, thereby, shifting the separation position towards a fixing device. Additionally, because the toner tightly adheres to the recording medium by the application of the bias potential, the toner is prevented from scattering and moving at the time of separating the recording medium from the transfer belt 10.

CONSTITUTION:A shielding plate 20 of, for example, dielectric material is disposed to a can of a corona electrifying device 16 in the vicinity of the exit of a transfer part T. The shape of the shielding plate 20 is constituted so that the tip of the shielding plate 20 is positioned from a high voltage wire 17 which is in the approximate center of a transfer part T to a specified position. Then, the wrapping of the paper to the photosensitive drum 3 is determined by electrostatic attraction of the paper and the high voltage elastic body belt 10 which is dependent on the flowing in current at the entrance of the transfer part T and in the vicinity of the center. Therefore, the electrostatic attractive force of the paper and the belt 10 is made greater by increasing the flowing-in current to the belt 10 and the adhering of the paper to the photosensitive body 3 can be reduced.
