SOLUTION: A passenger conveyer group of plural conveyers is composed by including a rising direction operating passenger conveyer U1 and a lowering direction operation passenger conveyer D1 which are operated by a power converter 2 with one set converter 2a, and the consuming energy PU1 in the rising direction operating passenger conveyer U1 is supplemented by regenerating the energy PD1 in the lowering direction operating passenger conveyer D1, so as to utilize the flow of the energy effectively as a whole.

As a result, when a passenger of a high age or the like operates a switch 7B on the operation body 7, before he rides on a step 3, the speed of the step 3 can be reduced to a speed the passenger can ride on naturally, and at the same time, the level of applying a trouble by this speed down operation to other passengers can be reduced. Furthermore, while a passenger of a high aged woman or the like can use it in the condition watching the operation surface 7A easily, and pushing the switch 7B easily, the operation surface 7A can be set higher than the height of the eyes of a child at 5 to 6 years, for example.

SOLUTION: A roller body 7, a roller shaft 6 and a bearing 5 of a guide roller 4 are respectively made of a conductive material. A surface of the roller body 7 is provided with a non-conduictive anodic oxide coating thin film 8. Static electricity generated by the friction between the roller body 7 and the moving handrail is grounded through the roller shaft 5 and the bearing 6 to prevent the dust collecting phenomenon due to electrostatic charge. The surface of the roller body 7 coated with the anodic oxide coating thin film 8 does not contact with metal fine particle, and metal corrosion in the surface of the roller body due to a battery phenomenon is prevented.

Namely, the painting is performed to the same color as the new comb plate 5 according to the procedure of removal of the old paint, cleaning, bed treatment, application of the new paint, finishing of the painted surface, and drying.
