摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a renewal method for an escalator that sets a reference position of location of each new piece of equipment on an existing frame, and a jig for use in the method. SOLUTION: The jig 11 is disposed on a rounded surface portion 5c, 5f of an upper chord part on one side (S1). The inclination of an inclined portion 5b to a horizontal portion 5a, 5e is observed through an angle measuring instrument 18 set in the jig 11, 31 (S2). With the positions of members 12 and 13 as references, points A and B, points H and I are marked on the upper chord part (S3). A line including a point D, J at equal distances from both points A and B, points H and I, and perpendicular to the length of the upper chord part is drawn to specify a boundary position 5d, 5f (S4). For the other upper chord part, the steps S1 to S4 are carried out with the use of the jig 31. The jigs 11 and 31 are disposed in the respective related positions on both upper chord parts, a dislocation detector 46 and a level 47 are arranged between the jigs 11 and 31, and the presence or absence of relative dislocation between the two upper chord parts is observed (S5). In consideration of the measured values and dislocation, the location of each piece of equipment is determined with the boundary positions as references (S6).

The machine room integrated elevator product 46 is lifted up by a tower crane 41 or the like through a slinging wire 40, the support member 21 is placed on receiving members 18a, 18b in the upper part of an elevator shaft 1, and the whole body is retained. Since the machine room integrated elevator product 46 is loaded and supported so that the support member 20 is located on the receiving members 18a, 18b formed in the upper part of the elevator shaft 1, a machine room 30 can be constructed in the upper part of the elevator shaft 1 simultaneously with the set of the machine room integrated elevator product 46 preliminarily manufactured in the factory.

A frame 120 for a support plate 121 supported and fixed to the receiving beam 101b is fitted by laying split ventilating support plates 121 on the whole surface of a machine room 101a. A control device for controlling the hoist 106 is fixed on the support table 107 or to a wall of the machine room installation space 101a. Thus, the minimized elevator machine room can be realized at a low cost while the safety of an inspector is secured.

In addition, because a rope 5 driving a car 3 is passed through a pulley 15 installed on the car 3, the rope 5 is positioned toward the hoistway wall 1 from the center of the car 3, and a sheave 16 of the hoist 10 can be disposed toward the hoistway wall 1 from the center of the horizontal plane of projection of the hoistway 2. Thus, an equipment maintenance space can be assured in the machine room 8 and, even when the wall 9 forming the machine room 8 is installed on the extension of the hoistway wall 1, there occurs no problem with maintenance.

SOLUTION: This device comprises passing detectors 12A to 12C detecting passing of a chain, passing measurement part 17 measuring a pulse period of the chain by a pulse signal, decision part 18 deciding abnormal elongation of the chain based on a change of the pulse period of the chain and a decision value, rotation detector 30 detecting rotation of a rotary shaft provided in a drive machine 2, rotation measurement part 29 measuring a number of revolutions for a fixed time and a rotational speed of the rotary shaft, and a correction part 32 calculating a speed coefficient by a measurement value of the rotation measurement part 29 also correcting the pulse period measured by the passing measurement part 17 based on the speed coefficient. In this way, abnormal elongation of the chain is diagnosed from the change of the pulse period directly detected from the chain, also the pulse period is corrected by the correction part 32 in accordance with a speed change of the chain, and an elongation degree of the chain is accurately diagnosed.
