    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device with small power consumption, to provide a liquid crystal display device in which a leaked current generating in a thin film transistor constituting a dynamic memory in an image signal driving circuit is suppressed, and to provide a liquid crystal display device in which the dynamic memory in the image signal driving circuit is normally operated. SOLUTION: A display region as an ensemble of pixel regions is segmented into one display region and the other display region by a virtual line as a border along the x direction. A scan signal driving circuit to supply a scan signal to each gate signal line in the one display region, and a scan signal driving circuit to supply a scan signal to each gate signal line in the other display region are separately fabricated. Drain signal lines in the one display region are separated from drain signal lines in the other display region. An image signal driving circuit to supply an image signal to each drain signal line in the one display region and an image signal driving circuit to supply an image signal to each drain signal line in the other display region are separately fabricated. SOLUTION: A substrate of an active matrix type display device has a display area consisting of a set of a pixel area provided with 1st thin film transistors and a driving circuit forming area provided with 2nd thin film transistors outside of the pixel area; gate electrodes GT of the 1st thin film transistors are formed from a material different from that of gate signal lines GL and also part of the gate electrodes are directly and electrically connected with the gate signal lines; the gate electrodes of the 2nd thin film transistors are formed from a material different from a wiring layer or electrodes to be connected therewith and also part of them are directly overlapped with the wiring layer or electrodes for electric connection; and each gate electrode of the 1st thin film transistors and the 2nd thin film transistors is formed from the same material and also the electrodes of the gate signal lines and the wiring layer or electrodes are formed from the same material.
