    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a biodiesel fuel.SOLUTION: The method for producing a biodiesel fuel by treating a phospholipid-containing biomass feedstock with an enzyme to hydrolize the phospholipids in the biomass feedstock along with esterifying fatty acids, is provided. In this method, as the enzyme, such one as to exhibit hydrolytic activity on the phospholipids, preferably at least either one of polypeptides each having two kinds of specific amino acid sequences, is used, wherein these polypeptides are each optionally such as to have the amino acid sequence with one or more amino acids substituted, inserted, deleted and/or added or with 75% homology. The objective biodiesel fuel can be easily produced in high productivity by subjecting the biomass feedstock to enzyme treatment.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing a biodiesel fuel.SOLUTION: The method for producing a biodiesel fuel is provided by treating a phospholipid-containing biomass feedstock with an enzyme to esterify fatty acids FA to fatty acid esters ME along with hydrolyzing of the phospholipids in the biomass feedstock. These polypeptides may optionally have the amino acid sequence with one or more amino acids substituted, inserted, deleted, and/or added, or with at least 75% homology. The biodiesel fuel can be easily produced in high productivity by subjecting the biomass feedstock to enzyme treatment.
