    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat organic matter in leachate by equipment of a simple configuration without using an advanced biological treatment method, e.g. an activated sludge method, a contact aeration method, a rotary disk method, a support method and a membrane separation activated sludge method, and also treat waste by utilizing the leachate water. SOLUTION: The equipment includes a stone-piled filter bed 2 composed of a filtrating medium in which an aerobic biomembrane is produced on the surface and having a waste layer R formed above the filter bed, a collecting-and-draining pipe 3 collecting water generated in the waste layer R and passing the water through the stone-piled filter bed 2 and draining it out of the stone-piled filter bed 2, an aeration portion 32 aerating below the stone-piled filter bed 2 and a sprinkling pipe 5 sprinkling the drained water from the collecting-and-draining pipe 3 on the waste layer R.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste disposal method and a waste disposal equipment which can shorten the maintenance period until the completion of disintegration/stabilization of wastes without necessity of a treatment facility of leachate.SOLUTION: Water is supplied, by a water supply equipment 30, toward a waste layer 24 from the upper of the waste layer 24 formed by reclaiming wastes in a covered reclamation site 20. The supplied water passes the waste layer 24, and is collected in a water collection pit 64 through a water collecting line 62 in a bottom part. The collected water is drawn up with a water collecting pump 66, and is circulated to use as the water to be supplied to the waste layer 24. Meanwhile, air is supplied upward from the bottom of the waste layer 24 by air supply equipment 40. The air flows upward from the bottom of the waste layer 24, and spreads in the entire waste in the waste layer 24. A part of organic matter included in the waste layer 24 is biologically disintegrated by microorganisms living in the waste.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat organic substances in leachate with a simple structure without using an advanced biological treatment method such as an activated sludge method, a contact aeration method, a rotary disc method, a carrier method, and a membrane separation activated sludge method. SOLUTION: Leachate treatment equipment includes a stone-piled filter bed 1 composed of a filter medium where aerobic biofilm is generated on its surface, a water sprinkling pipe 2 for sprinkling the leachate onto the stone-piled filter bed 1, and a water-impermeable portion 4 formed under the stone-piled filter bed 1. The aerobic biofilm is generated on the surface of the filter medium by sprinkling the leachate onto the stone-piled filter bed 1, and the organic substances in the leachate are decomposed by the aerobic biofilm to purify the leachate. The leachate having passed through the stone-piled filter bed 1 to be purified is blocked in the lower part of the stone-piled filer bed 1 by the water-impermeable portion 4, and collected and discharged outside the stone-piled filter bed 1.
