    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the acceleration effect of an inclined settling-accelerator of an inclined-plate settler by preventing sludge from sticking thereto.
      SOLUTION: The inclined-plate settler is constituted of a settling tank and an inclined settling-accelerator such as an inclined plate disposed therein with the surface of the inclined settling-accelerator covered with a layer formed by hydrophilization treatment. The inclined settling-accelerator is a member made from a material such as stainless steel, a titanium alloy and a resin, the surface of which has been subjected to hydrophilization treatment. The layer formed by hydrophilization treatment preferably has hydrophilicity represented by a contact angle with water of 40° or lower.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid/liquid separation apparatus which is high in filtering rate, is free from clogging and is high in the recovery ratio of a solid matter.
      SOLUTION: The solid/liquid separation apparatus uses filter cloth, the filter cloth being a resin with the surface subjected to a hydrophilicizing treatment. The solid/liquid separation apparatus increases the filtering rate by a capillary action of the surface of the filter cloth, by reforming the surface of the resin filter cloth by hydrophilicizing treatment. The formation of a thin water film on the filtering surface prevents attachment of protein in sludge on the filter cloth surface, resulting in the realization of the solid/liquid separation apparatus which is high in the filtering rate, is free from the clogging and is high in the recovery ratio of the solid matter.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treating equipment for methane fermentation which is capable of securely separating impurities such as stone, metal, etc. from an organic waste, even in case the specific gravity of the organic waste is higher than water, and also, is capable of supplying the quantitatively-determined amount of the organic waste and easily controlling the output of the impurity-free organic waste in accordance with the supply.
      SOLUTION: This treating equipment, for methane fermentation, of the organic waste comprises (1) an ascensional current-type sedimentation separator tank which separates the impurities from a slurry mixture of the impurity-containing organic waste with water, (2) a carrying-out means of an overflow type which carries out the slurry mixture obtained by separating the mixture to a methane fermentation tank, and (3) a circulation means which circulates the effluent slurry originating from the ascensional current-type sedimentation tank to the ascensional current-type sedimentation separator tank through the carrying-out means of an overflow type. In addition, an introduction means of the organic waste which includes the impurities, and water, is arranged atop the ascensional current-type sedimentation separator tank.
