The optical fibers are fixed temporarily so that the center side of the curvature of the curved coil spring 12 is the tip of each single core optical fiber 3 which is led out of a cable. Then many single-core optical fibers are inserted into the grooves 21 of the arraying tool 2 in order from their open ends 22 and the grooves 21 are a little bit wider than the external diameter of the optical fibers 3, so the optical fibers 3 are arranged on the surfaces of the grooves 21 without overlapping one another. Consequently, the structure is compact and the jig is freely moved and easily used at any place.
