摘要： PURPOSE:To stabilize an emulsion for application and to improve the resistance of a cyan color image to fading by heat by combinedly using a silver halide emulsion subjected to spectral sensitization with a spectral sensitizing dye added before the formation of silver halide particles is completed and a specified cyan coupler. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide (AgX) emulsion subjected to spectral sensitization with a spectral sensitizing dye added before the formation of AgX particles is completed and one or more kinds of cyan couplers represented by the formula (where each of R11 and R12 is alkyl, aryl, a heterocyclic group, alkyloxy, hetero cyclic oxy, alkylamino or the like; R13 is H, halogen, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, alkyloxy or the like; X is a group which can be eliminated by oxidative coupling with a developing agent; and R12 and R13 may form a 5- or 6-membered ring) are combinedly used in an AgX emulsion layer formed on a support. By the combination, diffusion sensitization by the cyan couplers is reduced, development fog can be prevented, and reduction in the sensitivity and contrast of the resulting sensitive material during storage at high temp. and humidity is prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve an intrinsic sensitivity or a spectrosensitivity of the title emulsion by incorporating a spectrosensitized coloring matter to the title emulsion before the silver halide (AgX) particles are formed, thereby forming a specific crystal phase on surfaces of AgX particles. CONSTITUTION:The ratio of the 100 surface of the surface of the AgX particles is raised by incorporating the spectrosensitized coloring matter to the title emulsion before the formation of the particle is completed under the condition of forming the AgX particles mainly composed of the 111 surface thereof. The spectrosensitized coloring matter may be added to the title emulsion at an optional period depending to the kinds of the spectrosensitized coloring matter. The method of adding the coloring matter may be a whole addition in the formation of the AgX particles or the continuous or the partition addition until the formation of the AgX particles completes. The coloring matter comprises for example, a methine dye. The AgX emulsion is not specified, but comprises silver bromide and silver iodide bromide. The particle distribution may be a monodisperse system or a polydisperse system. By adding the spectrosensitized coloring matter to be the title emulsion. The AgX emulsion having the much 111 surface ratio is obtd., thereby raising the intrinsic sensitivity or the spectrosensitivity of the title emulsion.

The silver halide which is intensified in the adsorption of an energy acceptor, i.e., the spectral sensitizing dye to have the higher spectral sensitization is subjected to the light condensing sensitization in such a manner, by which the effective light condensing spectral sensitization of the silver halide emulsion is permitted.

It is preferably that the metallic salt is leached in a development stage when the decoloring of the dye is taken into consideration, and silver halide, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, cadmium oxide, copper oxide, tin oxide or the like is used as the metallic salt. Sharp absorption of about 20-30nm half-width can be attained.
