    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide emulsion suitable for a diffusion transfer planographic printing plate having high sensitivity, maintaining high developability even when being saved, and having excellent printing durability after being saved.
      SOLUTION: The silver halide emulsion is composed of at least three layers composed of a core not containing an iodide, a first shell containing the iodide on the outer layer, and a second shell not substantially containing the iodide on the outer layer. The silver halide emulsion contains core-shell type iodide silver chloride particulates in which an iodide amount contained in the first shell is 90 mol% or more of the whole iodide amount in particles.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a chemically stable photographic image having mechanical strength, which does not suffer degradation due to degeneration of silver fine particles and a gelatin film constituting a photographic image.
      SOLUTION: An image comprising a stable noble metal and free of gelatin is formed. In order to form such an image, noble metal fine particles are deposited in a gelatin film only in an exposed image portion to produce an image comprising the noble metal fine particles, and then the image is fired, whereby the gelatin is removed by burning and the objective photographic image comprising a noble metal film fixed on a base by agglomeration of the noble metal fine particles is formed.
