摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent damage due to expansion and contraction by a temperature change by housing a lamp main body in a protective tube, and making a space between the protective tube and a lamp vacuous. CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical lamp main body 11 is housed inside a protective tube 12 put in a sealed condition. This main body 11 is arranged so as not to contact with an inner wall of the protective tube 12 by a support part 13 installed in a sealing part 14. A conductor 22 is connected to a stem pin 21, and extends inside of the protective tube 12, and a lamp support plate 23 is installed on one end which is not connected to the stem pin 21 of this conductor 22. In this low temperature lamp 10, the lamp main body 11 is housed in the protective tube 12, and since a space between the protective tube 12 and the main body 11 is made vacuous, influence on the main body 11 by an external sudden temperature change is relieved, and even if it is placed in cryogenic fluid, since a temperature of the main body 11 does not become a low temperature so much, damage and a burst due to expansion and contraction by a temperature change can be prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide a heat insulating device for a cryogenic equipment which has a substantial effect of explosion-proof and can be used stably for a long period of time by a method wherein a storing container placed in cryogenic environment and storing cryogenic equipment and a circulation pipe for supplying and circulating inert gas within the storing container are provided and the circulation pipe is provided with a heater for use in heating the inert gas. CONSTITUTION:Equipment 2 such as a camera or the like is stored in a storing container 1 and then the storing container 1 is immersed in cryogenic liquid 3. In concurrent with this operation, a pump 11 and a heater 13 are operated inert gas is fed into a circulation pipe 10 and then heated by the heater 13. It is sufficient that a heating temperature is set to such a temperature as one the equipment 2 such as a camera or the like may perform its function. In order to keep a temperature of the camera at a value higher than -20 deg.C, it is necessary to heat the inert gas more than 100 deg.C. Inert gas heated more than 100 deg.C is supplied from a supplying port 8 into the storing container 1, the inert gas is circulated in the storing container 1 and then discharged into the circulation pipe 10 through a discharge port 9. The inert gas is transported subsequently in the circulation pipe 10, heated by the heater 13 and again supplied into the storing container 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To measure the refractive index of liquid on an on-line basis at all times by making a measurement part face the middle of a 2nd light guide which guides test light. CONSTITUTION:The measurement part 9 where the sample liquid is put is made to face the middle part of the 2nd light guide 4 stored in a sensor probe 10. Then when the sensor probe 10 is dipped in the sample liquid, the test light is transmitted through the sample liquid, so the optical path length of the 2nd light guide 4 is different from the optical path length when a compensation plate 12 is adjusted in an atmosphere and interference fringes of different degree from those at the time of the adjustment of the compensation plate are formed. The interference fringes are converged by an objective 7 connected to one end of an image fiber 8 and then transmitted to a detection part 6 through the image fiber 8. The detection part 6 measures the movement fringe degree of the sent interference fringes, and performs arithmetic processing 16 by using a relational expression to find the refractive index of the sample liquid. Consequently, the refractive index of the liquid is measured on an on-line basis at all times.

摘要： PURPOSE:To measure the refractive index of liquid on an on-line basis at all times by receiving measurement light which is guided by an image fiber and make a focus adjustment and detecting the movement distance of a focus reference plate which is moved as a result of the focus adjustment. CONSTITUTION:The focal length between the focus reference plate 7 and sensor probe 6 is found in an atmosphere and then the sensor probe 6 is dipped in liquefied gas as the sample liquid. Then a lamp 1 is made to illuminate and its wavelength is selected through a monochromatic filter, and then the focus reference plate 7 is lighted by a light guide 2. An image of the focus reference plate 7 is converged by an objective 8 fitted to the tip part of the sensor probe 6 and transmitted to a detection part 3 through the image fiber 5. Then the detection part 3 receives the measurement light which is guided 5 to adjust the focus, and the movement distance of the focus reference plate 7 which is moved as a result of the focus adjustment is calculated. Consequently, the refractive index of the fluid is measured on an on-line basis.

摘要： PURPOSE:To measure a refractive index on an off-line basis at all times by putting an image fiber which photodetects and guides measurement light to a detection part in a sensor probe. CONSTITUTION:The sensor probe 9 contains a light guide 2 which guides the measurement light, a sensor part 6 which refracts the measurement light guided by the light guide 2 and detects the refractive index of the sample liquid, and the image fiber 8 which photodetects and guides the measurement light projected from the sensor part 6. Then the sensor probe 9 is dipped directly in the sample liquid first. Then the measurement light which is guided 8 is detected by a detection part 7 as a light signal, which is converted into an electrode signal by various photodetecting elements. The data which is converted into the electric signal is processed 16 by using a relational expression to find the refractive index of the sample liquid. Thus, only the sensor probe 9 is dipped directly in the sample liquid without sampling the sample liquid, so the refractive index of the liquid is measured on an on-line basis at all times.

CONSTITUTION:The probe 4 is dipped in the liquid to be measured and measurement light PA is guided 6 in the probe 4. Then the measurement light PA is entered into a prism 8 through an optical transmission part 9 and converted on its one surface (a). Measurement light PC below the critical angle as to the incident measurement light PA becomes refracted light and is projected toward the liquid 3 to be measured. Measurement light PB above the critical angle is reflected totally, projected from one surface C of the prism 8, and incident on the photodetection part 10. The measurement light PB is photodetected on the photodetection surface (f) of a start end part B through an objective 13. Consequently, a light-shade border image based upon the critical angle as a border is formed on the photodetection surface (f). The border image is transmitted 7 to the processing part 5. Then, the light-shade border position is detected based upon the border image and processed 5 according to optical logic to measure the refractive index from the obtained critical angle.
