    • PURPOSE:To enable the stable manufacture of precise patterns in a large number of sheets by transferring a resist ink-layer to a ink-acceptable part only. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive sheet 11 is constituted of a ink-acceptable photosensitive layer 13 formed on an ink-acceptable substrate (photo) 12 and further, an ink-nonacceptable layer 14 formed on the photosensitive layer 13. The photosensitive layer 11 is exposed and developed to be modified to a photosensitive sheet 15 on which the ink-nonacceptable part made of an ink- nonacceptable layer 14 and the ink-acceptable part made of the substrate (photo) 12 are formed. Further, a resist ink-layer image-forming surface of the photosensitive 11 and an ink-layer acceptable surface of a image reception sheet provided with the ink-layer acceptable surface having an adhesive property to a hardened resist ink-layer are brought into surface to surface contact with each other and are heated and pressurized to form a laminated body of the photosensitive sheet 11 and the image reception sheet. After the resist ink-layer is hardened by being irradiated with an active light beam, the photosensitive sheet 11 and the image reception sheet are peeled to form an image on the image reception sheet.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the image forming method which can easily and stably form images having decreased defects and having an excellent resolving power and high image quality by a dry processing. CONSTITUTION:This image forming method consists of (A) a stage for forming the latent image by exposing active rays to the photosensitive layer 14 of a photosensitive element 11 having an intermediate layer 13 consisting of a nonphotosensitive polymer and the photosensitive layer 14 exhibiting tacky adhesiveness at the time of non-exposing to active rays and exhibiting non-tacky adhesiveness after the exposing, (B) a stage for bringing the toner layer 23X of the toner element 21 having a toner layer 23Y contg. a color material and binder on the base 22 into contact with the photosensitive layer 14 in a face-to- face relation and (C) a stage for forming the image corresponding to the exposed parts of the photosensitive layer 14 in the toner element 21 by parting the toner element from the photosensitive element 11. The relation between the hardness of the intermediate layer 13 and the total of the film thicknesses of the intermediate layer 13 and the photosensitive layer 14 is within a specific range.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive transfer material and an image forming method by a transfer method using the material having a layer structure which is possible to transfer freely from generation of transfer default caused by a fine dust, an air bubble or difference of surface level of a permanent supporting body or the like when a photosensitive resin layer of the photosensitive transfer material is transferred from a temporary supporting body to the permanent supporting body, exhibits excellent releasing property from the temporary supporting body and is possible to expose in the air. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive transfer material, which is provided with in order of an alkali soluble thermoplastic resin layer, a middle layer and a photosensitive resin layer on the temporary supporting body, has such a constitution as the minimum in adhesive strength between the thermoplastic resin layer and the temporary supporting body and after the photo- sensitive resin layer and a permanent supporting body are closely adhered with each other with heating and, if necessary, with pressing in the photosensitive transfer material, the temporary supporting body is peeled off from the boundary between the thermoplastic resin layer and the temporary supporting body and the photosensitive resin layer is pattern-exposed with the thermoplastic resin layer and the middle layer and is developed to form an image on the permanent supporting body.

    • PURPOSE:To form a multicolored image which has a clear colored image pattern and high definition at a high throughput by setting the interval between the emulsion surface of a photomask and an adhesive layer to >=10 mum at the time of exposure. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive layer 4 is provided on a base 5 and the adhesive layer 4 needs to have excellent adhesive strength when contacting a colored photosensitive resin layer 2 on it. The colored photosensitive resin layer 2 is exposed to a pattern and the entire surface is pressed across a material which is smaller in surface energy than the adhesive layer 4 and the colored image to preferably embed the colored image 2 in the adhesive layer 4. In this process, a heating process is carried out simultaneously with the pressure application, so the distance between the adhesive layer 4 and the emulsion surface 3 of the photomask 2 needs to be >=10 mum so as to give a proper slope to the edge of the adhesive layer 4. For the purpose, the exposure is carried out while the adhesive layer 4 and the emulsion surface 3 of the photomask are put at a distance of >=10 mum. Consequently, control over color density and film thickness is easy and the multicolored image with superior pattern definition is obtained.
