SOLUTION: The image forming material comprises a thermal transfer sheet having at least a photothermal conversion layer and an image forming layer and the image receiving sheet on a support. The material further comprises a layer made of a specific photosetting resin composition between the image forming layer and the photothermal conversion layer. The color filter forming material uses the image forming material. The method for forming the image comprises the steps of superposing the thermal transfer sheet and the image receiving sheet, irradiating the thermal transfer sheet side with a laser beam in an image-like state, forming the image on the image receiving sheet, and then providing the layer made of the specific photosetting resin composition on the image. The method for forming the color filter uses the method for forming the image.

The imaging method forms an image on the image receiving sheet by superimposing the heat transfer sheet over the image receiving sheet and irradiating the sheets, in the form of an image, with laser beams from the heat transfer sheet side. The color filter forming method uses the color filter forming material.

The color filter forming method uses the image receiving sheet.
