    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method for a glossy image, by which variously hued metallic glossy feelings are given and which is excellent in property stability, sensitivity and resolution. SOLUTION: In the forming method an image receiving sheet having a thermal transfer sheet (A) containing a polyamide imide resin in a photothermic conversion layer and at least either plate-like inorganic compound particles or a plate-like inorganic metal and a thixotropic agent in an image forming layer laminated each other in this order on a support, a thermal transfer sheet (B) including the polyamide imide resin in the photothermic conversion layer and a permeable colored substance in the image forming layer and an image receiving layer is employed under the condition that the image forming layers of the thermal transfer sheet (A) and of the thermal transfer sheet (B) are respectively thermally transferred with laser on the image receiving layer.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming material having a thermal transfer sheet which is excellent in scratch resistance, has an image forming layer in the shape of a uniform application surface, and is improved in the resolution of an image formed in the image forming layer to an image receiving sheet; and/or the image receiving sheet which is excellent in scratch resistance, has an image receiving layer in the shape of a uniform application surface, and is improved in the uniform transfer properties of the image formed in the image forming layer of the thermal transfer sheet from the thermal transfer sheet. SOLUTION: The image forming material includes the image receiving sheet having at least the image receiving layer on a support, and the thermal transfer sheet having at least a photothermal conversion layer and the image forming layer on a support and uses laser beams.
