摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve control device having plural driven shafts, having a simplified device structure, and easily assembled and machined. SOLUTION: An exhaust cam shaft 3 is not movable to its axial direction, and an intake cam shaft 5 having a cam 6 different in a profile in its axial direction is movable to its axial direction. A timing pulley 10 and the exhaust cam shaft 3 are fixed with a bolt 41, and driving force is transmitted to the exhaust cam shaft 3 from a crank shaft via the timing pulley 10. A vane rotor 11 is fixed to the exhaust cam shaft 3, and a shoe housing 12 and a gear 15 are freely turnable relatively relating to the vane rotor 11. Both torque gears 16, 17 rotate together with the intake cam shaft 5. A phase of the intake cam shaft 5 with respect to the crank shaft is regulated by regulating with oil pressure a rotational phase of the shoe housing 12 with respect to the vane rotor 11.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve control device capable of reducing the number of parts so as to reduce assembly man-hours and reducing the size of a whole device in order to reduce a manufacturing cost by forming the phase adjusting means of a first follower shaft and an axial moving means with one drive means. SOLUTION: A rotating member 12 is assembled to a timing pulley 10 with bolts 40, and rotated together with the timing pulley 10. A cylinder head 2 supports a rotating member 12 rotatably and non-movably in axial direction. The rotating member 12 supports an intake camshaft 3 so that it can be rotated relatively to each other and movably in axial direction. Also arc shape gears 20 and 21 are moved in axial direction so that the intake camshaft 3 can be moved in axial direction and, even if its rotating phase relative to the timing pulley 10 is varied, the phase of an exhaust camshaft 5 relative to the timing pulley 10 is kept unchanged.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device which can control valve timing with high accuracy and can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: A positive spline member 44 and a negative spline member 45 are spline-connected to a vane rotor 14, and fixed on a camshaft 2 by a bolt 40. The camshaft 2 can be moved in reciprocation in the axial direction relative to the vane rotor 14. The external tooth spline 44a of the positive spline member 44 and the external tooth spline 45a of the negative spline member 45 are respectively brought into contact with the internal tooth spline 14e of the vane rotor 14 in the rotational direction, the opposite direction and the same direction by shifting their tooth traces to each other without forming a backlash. Therefore, even though the camshaft 2 receives positive/negative torque fluctuation, it can suppress that spline teeth collide with each other, and hammering noises can be suppressed.

The ring-shaped sealing member 1B causes elastic deformation according to looseness of parts opposed, when the part of an engine is tightened, to ensure uniformity of a seal surface pressure by uniformly distributed tightening load around the gas holes 3, 9. The ring-shaped seal member 1B is formed in egg shape, where the cross section in an inner circumferential side has a thickness larger than in the outer peripheral side.

The valve lifters 19A, 19B are arranged so that the rotating direction of each cam follower 25 coincides with the axial direction of the rotating shaft and each cam follower 25 is eccentrically located away from the nearest journal bearing 22 respectively.

SOLUTION: A tapered cam C in whose spacing from a center of a cam surface C1 and to a cam shaft 1 is gradually varied is formed on the cam shaft 1. A ring gear 48 is connected to the cam shaft 10. The cam shaft 10 is rotationally and parallely shifted interlockingly with rotational and parallel shifting of the ring gear 48. Together with the rotational shifting of the ring gear 48, a phase of the cam shaft 10 is dislocated and a valve opening/closing timing is varied. Together with axial shifting of the ring gear 48, a contact position of a shoe 8b against the cam surface C1 is varied and a valve lifting rate is varied. A valve overlapping rate and the valve lifting rate can be varied by a common driving source, control circuit, and a valve characteristics controlling mechanism 25.
