    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery separator which does not require a special beating device, needs only a short beating time, and is difficult to cut even before fibrillation.
      SOLUTION: This separator is made of a fibrillated material obtained by beating polynosic fibers obtained using a high-polymerization-degree viscose low-acid, low-temperature spinning method. Short fibers whose dry rupture strength ductility is adjusted to 0.35 to 0.75 are blended by at least 10 wt.% of the total blend of the separator, the short fibers having fiber diameters of 0.1 to 10d and fiber lengths of 1 to 10 mm.

    • PURPOSE:To form a conductive sheet for plane form heating element which is stable having little variation of electric resistance against a bending and the like, by filling a thermal plastic resin in a nonwoven fabric. CONSTITUTION:The material of a conductive sheet is a nonwoven fabric in which at least 3% or more of conductive fiber with the diameter 5mum to 20mum, and the length 3mm or longer, is mixed, and the binder may be either a natural fiber or a synthetic fiber. The length of the conductive fiber is preferable to be 10 mm or longer, and the specific resistance is preferable to be 10 to 10 . In order to stabilize the electric resistance to a bending, a conductive fiber tough to the bending is preferable, and a PAN system carbon fiber is more favorable. As a resin to fill, all kinds of thermal plastic resins are adaptable, but a resin with a hot melt adhesive property having a good adhesiveness with a metal to be the electrode is more favorable. In order to impragnate the resin to the nonwoven fabric, two ways including a melting impregnation (a dry impregnation) and a solution impregnation (a wet impregnation) are available. By such a way, a stable conductive sheet for plane form heating element having little variation of electric resistance can be formed.
