The entire electrostatic charging member 2 is supported to be freely rocked with the boss 21a of the spacer 21 as center. When the drum 1 is rotated in a direction shown by an arrow R1, the plate 20 is arranged at a position where it is actuated at the time of electrostatic charging by frictional force F between the surface of the drum 1 and the base 21f of the spacer 21. Meanwhile, when the drum 1 is reversely rotated a little after it is stopped, the plate 20 is separated from the surface of the drum 1 by frictional force in an opposite direction and keeps a retreated state.

Namely, the supporting member 13a1 is screwed on the lower frame and the cleaning blade 13a is attached, then the upper and the lower frames are locked so that the supporting member 13a1 may be pressed between the upper frame 14 and the lower frame, thereby assembling a process cartridge.

Therefore, the process cartridge B is smoothly inserted while it is guided by guide parts 2a and 2b and positioned to be loaded.

Therefore, even if a cartridge has a vibration, etc., at the time of carrying, etc., the sleeve 10d never damages the drum 7. Moreover, when the means 10 is rotated in the direction of the arrow (b), an exposing part 9 is blocked so as not to expose the drum 7 to the external light.

The moment by the spring 37 is in the reverse direction to the moment by the force F, so the moment making the spacer press-contact with the photosensitive body is also reduced.
