    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide refuse burning equipment capable of stabilizing the amount of supply of refuse to an incinerator body and of reducing the production of harmful matter. SOLUTION: A refuse falling hole of a refuse supply machine body 4 and an incinerator body 14 are connected to each other through an insertion chute 9, and refuse discharge hole provided frontally of the refuse supply machine body and a refuse pit 1 are connected with each other through a return chute 11. A lower portion than a set part of a return damper 10 of the return chute and a lower portion than a set part of a supply damper 8 of the insertion chute communicate with each other through a return supply chute 29, and a changeover damper 28 is provided at a connection portion of the return chute and the return supply chute. In the case where the incinerator body is in operation when a screw 5 is reversely driven in order to eliminate clogging, the return chute is closed with the changeover damper to supply the refuse returned from the refuse supply machine body to the incinerator body. When the incinerator body is in a rest state, the return supply chute is closed with the changeover damper to return the refuse to the pit.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasifying melting furnace wherein the rate of operation of the melting furnace and reliability of the same are improved and the running cost is reduced by eliminating turbulence factors against a flow in a melting furnace and against a slag rate due to cooling air in a stating burner for the melting furnace. SOLUTION: The gasifying melting furnace comprises a gasifying combustion furnace for combusting refuse, a melting furnace for completely combusting thermal decomposition gas including ash and char particles produced in the gasifying combustion furnace, and a thermal decomposition gas flue. A combustion chamber communicated to the foregoing melting furnace through the flue is provided together with provision of an oil spray nozzle and a starting burner in the combustion chamber, and the flue is joined with the thermal decomposition gas flue, and further hot air produced owing to combustion in the combustion chamber is blown into the melting furnace through the thermal decomposition gas flue.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma arc melting furnace capable of efficiently preheating ash without circulation of exhaust gas, enhancing heat input efficiency without impairing durability of the furnace body, reducing the running cost, and increasing the treatment quantity of ash. SOLUTION: Pipes 8 through which a working fluid flows are buried in the furnace body 1 to make the working fluid in the pipes 8 absorb the heat of the furnace body 1 and a part of the pipes 8 is disposed close to the ash in the process of being supplied into the furnace body 1. In this way, the ash is preheated by the heat which the working fluid has absorbed. Hence, the temperature increase of the furnace body 1 can be prevented. Since the radiated heat can be recovered and utilized for preheating of the ash, the heat input efficiency can be increased. Further, as air or the like can be used as the working fluid, it is not necessary that the exhaust gas including corrosive gas is circulated.
