    • PURPOSE: To improve recovery ratio of caustic soda, by burning a mixture of black liquor prepared as a by-product in pulp making process and metal oxide powder to form a reaction product, hydrolyzing it in a pressure container at a given temperature.
      CONSTITUTION: The chips 8 are digested by the pot 10 with caustic soda, concentrated black liquor is sent to the concentration tank 14, where the metal oxide 16 is fed to it. The black liquor containing the oxide 16 is introduced to the combustion device 18, where the black liquor is reacted with the oxide 16. The reaction product sent from the device 18 is hydrolyzed by the device 19 to hydrolyze under pressure at ≥100°C. A mixture of caustic soda and the oxide 16 after the hydrolysis is sent to the device 29 for heat recovery, fed from the pipe channel 32 to the solid-liquid separator 33, and caustic soda and the oxide 16 are reused.
