摘要： PURPOSE:To perform gear shift with a snort time lag by a method wherein shift by release of the frictional engaging device of a first transmission part is effected simultaneously with shift in a reverse direction to the first transmission part through engagement of the frictional engaging device of a second transmission part. CONSTITUTION:Based on a car speed and an engine load, gear shift where low gear shift is effected by a first transmission part, high gear shift is effected by a second transmission part, and down shift effected on the whole is detected by a means to detect a kind of gear shift. In this case, a time lag control means outputs a commend for high gear shift of the second transmission part achieved through engagement of a frictional engaging device in consideration of a time lag produced after a gear shift command is outputted. Low gear shift is effected through release of the frictional engaging device by means of the first transmission part to synchronize the two shifts with each other. Gear shift where shift in the same direction as that of the first transmission part is achieved on the whole can be effected with a short time lag without worsening gear shift characteristics.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent a shift shock from being transmitted to the output side by disengaging a brake for engine braking temporarily when off-up shift and coast-down between two shift positions are performed during running with No.2 engine brake in selection. CONSTITUTION:In case the 1-2 off-up shift is made from the 1st to 2nd gearing position and an overdrive brake B0 of an overdrive planetary gearing unit is engaged, for example when a car is running down a slope in the 2-range condition, or in case coast-down is made from the 2nd to 1st position, the oil with pressure regulated by a linear solenoid valve SLU is supplied to the bottom oil chamber 656 of a low coast modulator valve 65, and thereby a spool 653 is pressed upward to retard feed of the B-3 engagement pressure. Thus a fast and reverse brake B3 is released temporarily to prevent the shift shock due to regripping between the overdrive direct clutch C0 and overdrive brake B0 from being transmitted to the output side.

摘要： PURPOSE:To lessen the capacity of an oil pump by constructing No.1 and No.2 shift valve to perform speed change between intermediate shift positions in the form of normally closed solenoid valve, and forming shift valves to make speed change between the lowest and the highest positions and intermediate shift position in the form of a normally open solenoid valve. CONSTITUTION:No.1 solenoid valve S1 of normal closed type is connected with an oil path 103, and No.2 solenoid valve S2 of normal closed type connected with another oil path 104, and also No.3 solenoid valve S3 of normal open type connected with a third oil path 105, and when a drain port or ports 102 are released, oil in the applicable oil paths 103-105 is exhausted. When solenoid valves S1-S3 are turned on and off, respective shift valves 60-62 are switched to the right half position and left half position, and the shift position is selected. The No.3 solenoid valve S3 is turned on in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position, but because of normal open type, the drain port 102 is blocked in the On condition, and the consumed rate of flow of the oil exhausted via this solenoid valve S3 lessens.

摘要： PURPOSE:To eliminate interference between each pressure adjusting mechanism, so as to perform gear control with high accuracy by separating an oil passage between one pressure adjusting mechanism and a hydraulic servo by a relay valve, when the other pressure adjusting mechanism is actuated. CONSTITUTION:When one pressure adjusting mechanism is actuated to a hydraulic servo provided with two pressure adjusting mechanisms a relay valve is provided so as to separated an oil passage between the other pressure adjusting mechanism and the hydraulic servo. Since the relay valve is switched by the oil pressure always generated when one pressure adjusting mechanism is actuated, when the pressure adjusting mechanism is actuated, the relationship between the other pressure adjusting mechanism and the hydraulic servo is perfectly separated. At the time of engagement or released, a good pressure adjusting characteristic can be obtained, and gear change shock of an automatic transmission can thus be reduced.

The hydraulic control device 30 is controlled by a control device provided with a running condition detection means detecting a running condition of a vehicle and a solenoid valve control means EF1 operating the pressure oil discharge port 351 of the solenoid valve 35 so as to be closed when the running condition of the vehicle based on a signal from this running condition detection means is not in an overdrive shift step region, and a hydraulic loss by an unnecessary drain at idle speed time is reduced.

A switching valve 20 to control the feed and discharge of an oil pressure to and from the two oil chambers 12 and 13 has a hysteresis for a signal pressure during switching from a lockup ON position to a lockup OFF position. When a control mode is in a lockup OFF region, a solenoid valve control means 71 is operated and a signal pressure in the lockup OFF region of the switching valve 20 is outputted from a linear solenoid valve 30. In this case, when the switching valve 20 is in such a state to be switched to the lockup ON side, lockup operation of a torque converter 10 occurs, whereby the operation is decided by a deciding means 82 to perform detection of fail.
