    • PURPOSE: To provide an energy acquisition apparatus which prevents an electrolytic solution from being boiled even when a heat temperature generated to acquire heat energy generated by performing the electrolysis or the fuel cell-type electrolysis of heavy water is high, and which can acquire the generated heat energy efficiently. CONSTITUTION: An energy acquisition apparatus contains a heat takeout device 8 which can transport heat generated in a cathode 3 in the electrolysis or the fuel cell-type electrolysis of an electrolytic solution 2 containing heavy water by means of the cathode 3 and an anode 4 which contain a hydrogen absorbing metal or its alloy. The cathode 3 comprises a filling layer 5 composed of a heavy-hydrogen absorbing metal powder at its inside. A separation membrane 6 which does not permeate the heavy-hydrogen absorbing metal powder but which permeates heavy hydrogen and a heat insulating layer 7 having a function to prevent the transmission of heat generated in the heavy-hydrogen absorbing metal powder to the cathode 3 are interposed between the filling layer 5 and the cathode 3. The heat takeout device 8 is passed through the filling layer 5 composed of the metal powder whose heavy-hydrogen absorbing property is large.

    • PURPOSE: To develop an actuator which stores hydrogen formed by electrolysis of water using a hydrogen occlusion metal electrode having an internal space in a high-pressure state in the spacing in the electrode and is actuated by utilizing a gaseous hydrogen pressure. CONSTITUTION: The cathode 1 made of the hydrogen occlusion metal (alloy) and an anode 2 as a counter electrode consisting of Pt, etc., are immersed into an electrolyte 3 consisting of light water or heavy water in an electrolytic cell 4. A bulkhead 5 consisting of rubber, Ti, Mo steel, etc., having elasticity is mounted at the hydrogen occlusion metal 1 of a cathode to form the internal space 6 between the bulkhead and the cathode 1. Voltage is impressed on the cathode 1 and the anode 2 by a power source 7 and the gaseous hydrogen or deuterium generated at the cathode 1 by the electrolytic effect is absorbed into the cathode 1 of the hydrogen occlusion metal and is filled under a high pressure into the internal space 6 formed of the elastic bulkhead 5. This high-pressure gaseous hydrogen (deuterium) is taken out of an operating section 8 and the actuator is actuated by the pressure thereof. In such a case, the gaseous hydrogen is controllable by the magnitude of the impressed voltage and conversely, actuator may be actuated by reversing the plus and minus of the electrolysis to discharge the hydrogen in the space and to generate a negative pressure as an attracting force.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to make a support such that a safety drive with pedestrians taken in priority is conducted at all times in a district where many pedestrians exist such as a house congested district. SOLUTION: A safety drive supporting device for a vehicle is equipped with a memory means 10 to store the map road information including the safety drive district data 15, a current position sensing means 16 to sense the current position of the vehicle, a judging means 22 to judge whether the current position of the vehicle lies within the safety drive district from the sensing result given by the sensing means, and a restricting means 30 to restrict the starting torque of the vehicle within the safety drive district on the basis of the judging result given by the judging means. For example in the safety drive district, the restricting means specifies the starting gear position so as to make the second speed starting to hinder a quick start, or restricts the engine output by setting a restriction angle to the throttle valve operation angle so that the speed is not increased too much even if the accelerator opening is enlarged.
