    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost of a vehicle driving device and to reduce no traveling feeling of a hybrid type vehicle. SOLUTION: The vehicle driving device is provided with an engagement element engageably/disengageably arranged; a first rotor 34 mechanically connected to an engine 11; a second rotor 35 mechanically connected to the engine 11 through the engagement element and mechanically connected to a driving wheel; and a stator common for the first and second rotors. The device has an electro-motive machine in which a first driving part 44 is constituted by the first rotor 34 and the stator 33 and a driving part 45 is constituted by the second rotor 35 and the stator 33; and a driving circuit for independently driving the first and second driving parts 44, 45. In this case, since it is only required that one driving circuit is arranged in order to drive the first and second driving parts 44, 45, the cost of the vehicle driving device 10 can be reduced.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control unit whereby no shock or vibration or the like is given to the driver through a comparatively simple control in the engine stared condition while the vehicle is stopping. SOLUTION: In case the engine stop conditions are met while the vehicle is stopping, and also the engine starting conditions other than a start request, for example, the residual capacity of the battery, drive of an air-conditioner compressor, etc., are met from the condition the engine is stopped (at t4), a low pressure control is made for the oil pressure PC1 of a clutch which connects and disconnects the engine to/from the driving wheels. If the engine is started after the specified time Ta, the clutch is under low pressure control to the condition immediately before the clutch is engaged (at t5), and then if a start request is placed by the driver (at t8), the clutch can be engaged immediately by raising the oil pressure PC1 because the oil pressure PC1 is in low pressure control to the condition immediately before engagement.
