The shaft body part including the shear plate members is embedded in a RC column 8 so that the restraining plate member abuts downward on a RC column upper face 8a, and the male screw part of the steel bar protruded from the RC column upper face is fastened to the center of the lower end of a steel column 5.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently absorb vibration energy acting on a column during an earthquake by enabling a diagonal member to receive relatively large axial force while the column receives horizontal force during an earthquake and effectively deforming the diagonal member which has received the axial force.SOLUTION: A building comprises: a first column and a second column at an interval in a horizontal direction; an overhang member fixed to the first column at one end and extended inwards in the horizontal direction from the first column; and the diagonal member whose one end is fixed to the other end of the overhang member and other end is attached to the second column. The diagonal member is deformed by receiving the axial force from the other end of the overhang member and the second column while the first column and the second column respectively receive the horizontal force and are deformed during an earthquake, and thus the vibration energy acting on the first column and the second column respectively during an earthquake is absorbed.
