      SOLUTION: A tip part of an accelerator pedal 3 penetrated a casing 1 is secured at a rotary body 2 provided within the casing 1. An electronic accelerator pedal apparatus in which an accelerator-opening sensor 18 is attached to the casing 1 is attached to a lower part of driver's seat. When the driver steps on the accelerator pedal 3, during normal/reverse rotation of the rotary body 2 in the case of the operation of the accelerator pedal 3, adhesion between both slidable contact surfaces 5, 6 is increased by elastic restoring force of the compression spring 9 so as to generate suitable frictional resistance during normal/ reverse rotation of the rotary body 2, to thereby provide the stable operability by the gently-changing accelerator.
