When the CFRP strip plate is joined to the planar part of the steel structure by the intermediary of the adhesive agent layer to reinforce the steel structure, the CFRP strip plate to be used has the surface roughness of 0.7 to 5.0 μm, which is the larger one of the longitudinal center line average roughness or the lateral center line average roughness of the strip plate.
