    • PURPOSE: A combination of a chemical having activity of combatting a nematode in pine trees (Bursaphelencus lignocolus) and an attractant for the same is injected into trunks of pine trees to enables exact and advantageous control of the undesired nematode and further effective treatment for withering diseases.
      CONSTITUTION: A chemical which can combat the pine-tree nematode such as organic phosphate esters, carbamates and pyrimidine derivatives is combined with an attractant for the nematode such as ppalmitoleic acid or beta-myrcene, preferably at a weight ratio of 1:0.01W10, preferably 0.02W0.5 to give the objective agent. The agent is preferably applied to pine trees by injection. The agent kills the undesired nematodes effectively to show good effect of preventing pine trees from being withered.
      EFFECT: The agent has low toxicity to human and animals and causes no chemical injury to pine trees.

      CONSTITUTION: The objective insecticide contains a mixture of 0,0-diethyl 0- quinoxalin-2-yl phosphorothioate and a carbamate insecticide (preferably a mixture of 1pt.wt. of the above compound to about 0.1W5pts.wt., especially about 0.5W2pts.wt. of the carbamate insecticide) as an active component. The carbamate insecticide is e.g. 0-cumenyl methylcarbamate, etc.
