    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contamination prevention device which prevents the contamination caused by living creatures in the sea adhered to the inner part of piping which transports seawater, and which does not require us to make the piping shorter even though the piping has middle or small diameter for a contamination prevention device whose electric potential of each part of the covered layer (anode) in the piping is almost the same by using a bar-shaped electrode material (cathode). SOLUTION: In this contamination prevention device, a part which needs contamination prevention in a piping 1 is covered with a conductive covered layer 2, an electrode material 3 which is allocated in the seawater so as not to touch this covered layer, and a direct current power supply 5 is provided. The direct current power supply controls the current or the voltage so that the electric potential of the anode stays in a fixed range, and this device has the covered layer and the electrode material connected to the direct current power supply, which are made to be an anode and a cathode respectively. An electrode lead derivation pipe 11 is provided near both ends of the piping, an electrode material lead 6 is inserted through it, the edge of the lead is placed at the height a little apart from the surface of the conductive covered layer inside of the piping, and the bar-shaped electrode material 3 is connected to this end to flow the current.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tin alloy used for replenishing stannous ions, which relates to improvement in a technology of manufacturing a tin-plated steel sheet with an electrolytic tin-plating method using an insoluble anode, and can quickly replenish the stannous ions that are consumed during plating, to provide a method for replenishing the stannous ions with the use of the tin alloy, and to further provide the electrolytic tin-plating method adopting the method for replenishing the stannous ions.
      SOLUTION: The tin alloy for replenishing the stannous ions comprises a parent phase of tin and a phase of tin phosphide Sn
      4 P
      3 , and includes phosphor in an amount of 0.1 to 10 atom%. The tin phosphide phase has high oxygen-reducing capability and acts as a cathode. On the other hand, the parent phase of tin acts as an anode. When the tin alloy is immersed in water and an oxygen gas is blown therein, tin easily elutes as an ion. The electrolytic tin-plating method adopting the method for replenishing the stannous ions can plate a steel sheet while avoiding the formation of insoluble tin dioxide.
