    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method of stabilizing the dimension of the solid polymer electrolyte film of a solid polymer cell component to prevent the displacement of the pitch of the opening formed in an electrolyte film or MEA and the wrinkling of the electrolyte film during use, so that the assemble, storage and transportation of cell/stacks become easy. SOLUTION: The solid polymer electrolyte film is expanded as large as possible by heating the film at a temperature not lower than the service temperature of the film but not higher than 100°C in a condition immersed in a deionized water, diluted acid solution, or in an alkaline solution. When the film is treated with the acid solution or alkaline solution, the film is followed by washing with a deionized water. The film is kept humid until the film is used at a temperature not higher than that when the treatment of the film is finished in either case. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
