摘要： PURPOSE:To surely prevent the performance of an exhaust gas purifying catalyst from deteriorating due to phosphorus constituents in oil, by providing an adsorbent in the cartridge-type oil filter of an engine to adsorb the phosphorus constituents. CONSTITUTION:A cartridge-type oil filter unit 3, which is attached to the body of an engine having an exhaust gas purifying catalyst in the exhaust system, has a cylindrical casing 5 consisting of an outer cylinder 5a and an inner cylinder 5b which have numerous holes and are located upstream to a filter 4. An adsorbent A capable of adsorbing phosphorus constituents in oil is contained in the cylindrical casing 5. After the phosphorus constituents in the engine lubricating oil introduced from the oil circulating passage of the body of the engine 1 through an oil inlet port 6 are adsorbed and removed by the adsorbent A while the oil is flowing in the direction of an arrow shown in the drawing, the oil is removed of dust by the filter 4 and then discharged through an outlet port 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To suppress the evaporation of lubricating oil, by introducing a small quantity of fuel into the lubricating oil during the operation of an engine so that the light substance content of the lubricating oil is increased and the temperature of the lubricating oil adhering to a cylinder is reduced by heat absorption due to the vaporization of the light substances in the lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:A fuel injection pump 4, which acts in connection with the rotation of the crankshaft of an engine 1, comprises plungers 5 and barrels 6 for injection and another plunger 9 and another barrel 10 for fuel introduction. The number of the ejection plungers 5 and that of the ejection barrels 6 correspond to that of the cylinders of the engine 1. Fuel supplied under pressure by the action of the plunger 9 can be introduced into lubricating oil in a crankcase 2 through an introducing nozzle 11 provided in the crankcase. Since the fuel is introduced into the lubricating oil, the temperature of the lubricating oil adhering to a cylinder is reduced by heat absorption due to the vaporization of the light substances of the fuel to suppress the evaporation of the lubricating oil to diminish its consumption.

Independently of the oil returning hole 14 of the piston 4, a secondary oil returning hole is supplemented on the rand part between an oil ring 8b and a gas ring 8a. Thus, the lubricating oil in the cylinder can be scratched certainly, so oil exhaustion can be prevented certainly.
