    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repeatedly and regularly generate stable discharge even if a discharge tube is disposed at a position in the vicinity of a coil, a transformer or the like generating a magnetic field or electromagnetic waves, in relation to a discharge tube for repeatedly generating discharge between a discharge surface at an upper discharge electrode tip and a discharge surface at a lower discharge electrode tip both of which face to each other at the center in an airtight tube, and its installation structure.
      SOLUTION: This discharge tube is provided with the airtight tubes 10 formed of an insulating material with metalized surfaces 40 respectively formed on upper and lower end faces; an upper discharge electrode 22 jointed to the upper ends of the airtight tubes 10 with the upper discharge surface 23 formed; and a lower discharge electrode 24 jointed to the lower ends of the airtight tubes 10 with the lower discharge surface 25 formed; a discharge gap 29 is formed between the discharge surface 23 and the discharge surface 25 by jointing the first and second discharge electrodes 22 and 24 to the airtight tube 10; and the airtight tube 10 is airtightly sealed. One or more annular discharge trigger wires 50A are formed in a region facing to the discharge gap 29 in the airtight tube 10.
