    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming apparatus and a forming method, by which apparatus and method, the time necessary for compacting powder can be shortened.
      SOLUTION: The forming apparatus 1 comprises a control unit 2, a first punch 14, a die 21, and a second punch 34. Further, the forming apparatus 1 comprises a first pressure detecting device 15, a first linear scale 16, a second pressure detecting device 35, and a second linear scale 36. The first punch 14 is lowered by the positional control using the control unit 2 to the position where the first punch 14 and the second punch 34 are positioned so as to be in a required positional relation. The required positional relation shows the positional relation between the position of the first punch 14 brought into contact with the powder 4 of a required amount supplied into a powder receiving recessed portion 22 and the position of the second punch 34. After the first punch 14 and the second punch 34 have reached to the required positional relation, the first punch 14 is furthermore lowered by the pressure control using the control unit 2 until the first punch 14 and the second punch 34 show required pressure.

The tank part is installed on the circulation track, and stores the slurry to be sucked into the syringe parts. The molding part is installed on the circulation track and receives the slurry ejected from the advancing syringe parts over a specified range of the circulation track. The syringe elevating/lowering mechanism elevates or lowers the plurality of syringe parts at least with respect to the tank part.
