    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device for a vehicle which improves viewability to the front of a vehicle at the time of travelling a plurality of continuous curved sections of a road. SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 for the vehicle has a means 2 of detecting a current position of the vehicle itself, a means 3 of detecting the curved section, and an irradiation control means 6. The means of detecting its current position detects the current position of the vehicle on a runway by using satellite communications or inter vehicular communications on a road, and the means of detecting the curved section detects the existence of the section of the continuous curved section of the road in front of the vehicle. Then the irradiation control means controls the irradiation direction of headlights 8 for the vehicle according to the information from the means 3 of detecting the curved section and the information on its current position. The data on the position of a plurality of nodes located ahead and behind its current position are read by using the data on the current position of the vehicle and road map data. Then the shape of the runway is estimated by connecting the plurality of nodes by interpolation process.
