摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsified material having small particle diameter under low pressure by pressing a pressing member on one end of a hollow bearing member with a spring, making at least the part of the bearing member to be pressed spherical, and bringing the pressing member into contact with the bearing member with a line. CONSTITUTION:A ball 4 is placed on the upper end of a bearing member 1, and the ball 4 is pressed on said bearing member 1 by a spring 3 through a pressing member 5. A pressing member 2 is constituted of the ball 4 and the pressing member 5. The inner periphery of the upper end of the bearing member 1 is tapered, and the tapered surface 7 contacts with the ball 4 or a spheric surface 6 with a line. With such a constitution, the pressure drop of the liq. material to be emulsified is made low. Consequently, even when the minimum clearance d2 is sufficiently reduced, a sufficient amt. of the liq. material to be emulsified can be passed through said clearance, and the emulsified material having sufficiently small particle diameter can be obtained.

Since the metering of the liquid 4 and the transferring of the metered layer 5 onto the web 1 are thus accomplished on one roll 2, the construction is simplified, the metering is made easy and the uniform coating is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:To 100pts.wt. of monoester, diester or a mixture thereof obtained by reacting an initial fraction of the tall oil with 90-170 acid value and glycerine, 0.5-30pts.wt. of one or more of an emulsifier selected from a group comprising an alkali salt of a fatty acid, fatty acid or polyalkylene glycol ester of a fatty acid with 9.0 or more HLB, polyhydric alcohol ester of a fatty acid with 9.0 or more HLB is added and mixed therewith to adust the HLB to 2.4-4. This defoaming agent has both actions for destructing or retarding foams and has excellent long lasting activity and, if diluted by a large amount of water, does not form precipitates and suitable for preventing an aqueous system in a paper pulp industry from foaming.
