    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear mechanism and a geared motor which prevent damage on a tooth even when a stopper mechanism utilizing the engagement of gears is constituted.SOLUTION: In the gear mechanism 6 and the geared motor 1, a stopper having a lacked tooth 617 in which a tooth 615 is not formed is arranged on a gear 61 in constituting the stopper mechanism by the engagement of a motor pinion 34 (first gear) and the gear 61 (second gear). The lacked tooth 617 includes a protrusion 617a protruding to an outer side in a radial direction from an addendum circle F61 of the gear 61, and a dent 617b which dents to an inner side in the radial direction from the protrusion 617a in a position adjacent to the protrusion 617a in a circumferential direction. Therefore, when the tooth 345 of the motor pinion 34 abuts on the dent 617b of the lacked tooth 617 (stopper part), the protrusion 617a also abuts on a periphery of a pitch circle P34 of the tooth 345 of the motor pinion 34.
