    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film magnetic head having a structure excellent in recording characteristics at a high frequency band without increasing a resistance value, and to provide its manufacturing method, a head gimbal assembly and a hard disk device. SOLUTION: This thin film magnetic head is constructed in such a manner that first and second magnetic pole groups having opposing magnetic pole parts on the side of a medium facing surface and magnetically connected, a recording gap layer formed between the magnetic pole parts, and a thin film coil insulated from the first and second magnetic pole groups and wound in a helical or planar convoluted shape at least around one are stacked on a substrate. The thin film coil is provided with first and second conductor groups, the first conductor group has an insulated contact structure in which the conductors are brought into each other via an insulating film, an inner softening part is provided, which is made of a material more flexible than at least one of the first and second conductor groups and the first and second magnetic pole parts, and brought into contact with the first conductor group via the insulating film.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording device in which recording speed of an information signal can be improved by reducing the area of a magnetic field generating plane of a magnetic head.
      SOLUTION: A suspension 15 supporting a magnetic head 10 is constituted of a member different from that for a gimbal 14. The characteristics of the gimbal 14 can be consequently made compatible with that of the suspension 15 although they are different from each other, namely, the characteristics of the gimbal 14 is that the gimbal 14 minimizes power loss when supplying current while sufficiently and elastically holding the magnetic head 10, and the characteristics of the suspension 15 is that the suspension 15 suppresses the displacement and the rotational displacement of the magnetic head caused by the vibrations and impacts applied from the outside. Thus, the displacement of the magnetic head caused by the vibrations and impacts applied from the outside or the horizontal displacement of the magnetic head caused by the vertical displacement of the recording medium 4 can be reduced, so that a light spot can be formed in a magnetic field apply region even if a core size of the magnetic head 10 is made small, consequently, the inductance of the magnetic head is reduced, and the recording speed can be improved.
