    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laundry apparatus easily and inexpensively capable of updating control programs and data.SOLUTION: The laundry apparatus comprises: a flash ROM in which control programs and data for controlling operation of a load are stored in a rewritable manner, and a rewriting program is stored; a connection unit to which a recording media recording the control programs and the data downloaded from a server via the Internet by a personal computer is connected; and a control device for controlling the load based on the control programs and the data stored in the flash ROM, and, when the recording medium is connected to the connection unit, for rewriting the control programs and the data recorded in the recording medium into the flash ROM and allowing the flash ROM to store them based on the rewriting program stored in the flash ROM. The control device is supplied with a control power supply which is not insulated from a commercial AC power supply, and the connection unit is supplied with a control power supply which is insulated from the commercial AC power supply.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which has such constitution that the washing machine includes n (n is an integer of 2 or more)pieces of brushless motors for performing washing operation and n pieces of inverter circuits for driving the brushless motors and yet requires only a single A/D conversion circuit shared by n pieces of the inverter circuits and consequently is inexpensive and produce low noise.
      SOLUTION: A washing machine motor 13 and a fan motor 21 each comprising brushless motors are driven by inverter circuits 32, 47. Current flowing in each phase of the inverter circuits 32, 47 is detected by shunt resistors 35u to 35w and 48u to 8w and A/D-converted by an A/D conversion circuit 74. By a control circuit 30, inverter circuits 32, 47 are PWM-controlled with a same carrier wave based on a current value from the A/D conversion circuit 74 to vector-control motors 13, 21 and A/D conversion of current value of each inverter circuit by the A/D conversion circuit 74 is performed by a cycle as two times larger as the cycle of the carrier wave in timing respectively shifted by a cycle of the carrier wave.
