    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of being thinned even when a mechanism for removing dust is incorporated. SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 comprises a case 2, a filter 4, a heat exchanger 5 and the dust removing mechanism 9. The case 2 has a suction opening 6. The filter 4 covers the suction opening 6. The heat exchanger 5 is incorporated in the case 2. The dust removing mechanism 9 removes dust attached to the filter 4 from the filter. At least a part of the dust removing mechanism 9 is separated from the heat exchanger 5 in an air conditioning operation, in comparison with a non-air conditioning operation not performing the air conditioning operation.
