    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device which detects exchange of a filter to reset information on the filter.SOLUTION: The projection type display device includes a control portion 2 which controls driving of a motor and controls a mounted state and wound state of a filter, a filter winding and driving portion 5 which performs winding up and the like of the mounted filter by instruction of the control portion 2, the filter 6 which is wound up by the filter winding and driving portion, a photo-interrupter 7 which generates a pulse in conjunction with the winding up and the like of the filter to inform the control portion 2, and a filter mounting detection portion 4 which detects the presence of the filter 6 to inform the control portion 2. When the mounting of the filter 6 is detected by the filter mounting detection portion 4, the filter 6 is rewound for a fixed period of time. When the rewinding of the filter cannot be detected by the photo-interrupter 7, information on the filter is reset, and when the rewinding of the filter is detected, a rewound part of the filter is wound up.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact dust collector capable of collecting microparticles as well with a low pressure drop of air being treated. SOLUTION: The dust collector or the air cleaner (10) is comprised of a casing (20), a pre-filter unit (30), an aggregation unit (70) and a collection unit (50) each disposed in the casing (20). Treated air removed of large size dust or the like by a pre-filter (31) flows into the aggregation unit (70). In the aggregation unit (70), microparticles floating in the above treated air are collected by a dust collection electrode and a plurality of the floating microparticles are caused to aggregate to form aggregated particles on the dust collection electrode. The aggregated particles grown to have a certain particle size come off from the dust collection electrode and are scattered into the treated air. The aggregated particles in the treated air are collected by a dust collection filter (51) in a collection unit (50) disposed downstream of the aggregation unit (70).
