SOLUTION: The gas meter is provided with the flow sensor 20 provided in a midway part of of a gas passage 3, detecting a flow rate of gas flowing in the gas passage 3, and outputting it as a flow rate signal, a pressure sensor 30 provided in a midway part of the gas passage 3, detecting a pressure in the gas passage, and outputting it as a pressure signal, a cutoff valve 50 provided in an upstream side of the flow sensor 20 and the pressure sensor 30 in the gas passage and cutting off the gas passage 3, and a control part 10 operating the cutoff valve 50 and cutting off the gas passage 3 when it is determined that there is inner pipe leakage on the basis of the flow rate signal from the flow sensor 20, determining whether or not the flow rate signal from the flow sensor 20 indicates a zero flow rate value when the pressure signal from the pressure sensor 30 does not show a pressure drop, and inspecting for existence/nonexistence of anomaly of the flow sensor 20.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flowmeter that determines inverse connection for appropriate use even if the flowmeter is connected opposite to a normal connection direction.
SOLUTION: A flow rate calculation means 21 determines the flow direction of gas from a signal acquired by a flow rate sensor 3, calculates a flow rate, where a minus sign is added to the absolute value of the flow rate, when gas flows in a forward direction, and calculates the flow rate, where a minus sign is added to the absolute value of the flow rate, when the flow is in the opposite direction. An inverse connection judging means 22 integrates the flow rate being calculated by the flow rate calculation means 21, and measures the integration time. Then, the integral flow rate within a specific time is equal to or less than a specific value, the connection is judged to be opposite. A flow rate sign switching means 23 switches the plus/minus of the flow rate being outputted by the flow rate calculating means 21 when the connection is judged to be in the opposite direction (namely, when the sign of the flow rate is positive and negative, the sign is set to negative and positive, respectively) for outputting.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter eliminating a flow rate conversion processing at a controller side by mounting the function of the flow rate conversion processing on a flow rate sensor itself, and allowing connection without changing the processing in the controller even with the flow sensor having a different gas flow sensing element. SOLUTION: At the sensor side, the gas flow sensing element senses the gas flow to output a pulse train signal; an actual flow rate conversion processing part counts the number of pulses of the pulse train signal in a certain period of time; a corresponding actual flow rate value is obtained with reference to the conversion data in a conversion data storing part, and is outputted to the gas meter controller. At the gas meter controller side, the actual flow rate value outputted by the flow sensor is integrated and a gas metering value is calculated and indicated. When a flow rate sensor is newly mounted or exchanged, a setting device is connected to a communication processing part before or after connection with the gas meter controller, and the conversion data corresponding to the gas flow sensing element of the flow rate sensor is registered.
