When the power source switch of the recording apparatus is turned off, a delay means is driven so that the setting agent 11 adhered on the intermediate transfer belt 21 is eliminated by a cleaning means 70 so as to be returned to a tank, or the like 12 for storing the unused setting agent 11. Then, the recording apparatus power source is turned off.
