    • PURPOSE:To achieve safer and quicker roll changing operations by connecting the movable truck of the roll changing device of a rolling mill removably to the extension part of a moving device on the side opposing to the rolling mill side. CONSTITUTION:In changing an intermediate roll 2 and work roll 1, a movable truck 4 and the extension part 13 of a lower truck 12 are connected by means of a pin 7 and the lower truck 4 is guided to the roll containing position on a movable floor plate 14 along rails 8. The rolls 1, 2 are then pushed out onto the truck 4 by a push-out device not illustrated and the floor plate 14 is connected by means of a pin 15 to the end part of the truck 12 and is retreated to the specified position. To change a lower back roll 3, the pins 7, 15 are removed and the truck 12 is engaged with the roll 3. The roll 3 is then drawn out from the rolling mill, the stool 19 is placed, the truck is again moved to the direction of the rolling mill, the upper back roll 3 is superposed and is drawn to the outside, thereafter such operations are repeated to complete the exchanging of the old and new roll. The notch part of the pin hole of the floor plate 14 of ordinary methods is eliminated and the danger of the operators and the laboriousness of operations are eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the deflection of work rolls in the horizontal direction end to enable high-rigidity support against horizontal bend by providing support rollers with which both sides of the body part of work rolls are respectively supported on the inlet and outlet side of rolled stock and position adjusting devices with which the offset quantity of work rolls can be adjusted. CONSTITUTION:The work rolls 1 are made to be arbitrarily movable in the pass direction and both sides of the body part of roll in the area outside the max. width of the rolled stock 11 on both of the inlet and outlet side of the rolled stock of the work rolls 1 are supported by arranging the support rollers 14. Then, by making the offset quantity of the work rolls 1 adjustable by providing the position adjusting devices 5 on those support rollers 4, the work rolls are situated in a dynamically balanced position due to rolling load, driving tangent force and the difference of tension in the back and forth direction, etc. Further, the high-rigidity support against the horizontal bend of the work rolls 1 is made possible and disturbance load is prevented and rolling with which the shape of the rolled stock 11 is stabilized can be performed by arranging the bearing boxes 8 of the work rolls 1 with clearance in the horizontal direction with adjacent members.

    • PURPOSE:To make compact a changing device and to reduce a changing time by using a hook mounted on a roll changing driving device both as a hook for work roll changing and a hook using a stool for changing other rolls. CONSTITUTION:A roll changing truck 19 is pushed in a changing position and is connected with a rail for work and intermediate rolls in a housing 1. Then, the truck 19 is connected with a work roll changing hook to put upper and lower work rolls and upper and lower intermediate rolls on the truck 19 and to remove their rolls. A stool 17 is put on the truck 19. A hook 24 for changing is connected with a hook 25 installed on the stool 17 and the hooks 24, 25 are pushed between upper and lower reinforcing rolls by a changing driver 22 by utilizing a rail of the truck 19 and a rail 9 or a rail for intermediate roll changing. After that, the reinforcing roll is put on the stool 17. A movable frame 30 of the stool 17 moves up to put the stool 17 and a roll 6a on a lower reinforcing roll 6b being put on a rail 8. After that, the rolls 6a, 6b are put on a rail for reinforcing roll by the device 22.
