    • PURPOSE:To make the biting of rolling rolls possible at a high draft percentage, by interlocking a sheet pressing device with a sheet forcible feeding roll through a mobile stand. CONSTITUTION:When a material 18 to be rolled sent forward by the front pinch rolls 31 passes through upper and lower clamping rolls 10, 11 and then upper and lower press heads 4, 5, and arrives at a position suitable for forcibly feeding the material 18 into upper and lower work rolls 27, 28, a rotation detector attached to the pinch roll 31 produces a command signal by which hydraulic cylinders 7, 8 are then brought down; hereby, the clamping roll 10 and the press head 4 clamp the material 18 and produce a command to start the forcible feeding action; by which the material 18 is forcibly fed into upper and lower work rolls 27, 28 and the rolling work with a high draft percentage is started. At the same time, a hydraulic cylinder 8 shifts the clamping roll 10 upward according to a command sent from a detector, and the material 18 is released from the clamping. The upper and lower clamping rolls 10, 11 are made rotatable in the rolling direction so that the material 18 is prevented from flaws and cracks to be caused by a rapid draw for the material 18 owing to the effect of rolling load.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the rail, and to contrive the extension of the serviceable range of the work roll's diameter, by attaching the rail for the roll-rearrangement work and the stopper to receive the load of the rail, to the housing for holding the lower backup roll. CONSTITUTION:At each of two ends of the rail 16, for the roll-rearrangement work, installed in the housing 15, the arm 17 is attached, and the roll of the arm 17 is freely, rotatably borne by the support pin 18. Further, the stopper 19, touching the upper part of the arm 17, is installed in the housing 15. Then, if the backup roll 5 goes up as a result of a wrong operation, during the roll-rearrangement work, the backup roll 5 touches the bottom of the rail 16, and the rail 16 freely rotates to the position 16'; hereby, the breakage of the rail 16 itself can be prevented. Next, if the backup roll 5 goes down, the rail 16 automatically returns to the normal position utilizing the weight of itself.

CONSTITUTION:The overhanging transport vehicle 16 for the roll forms a parallel link with links 24 and 25; an end of each of links 24 and 25 is connected to the roll socket 23, and another end is connected to the overhang support 27; and the extended portion of the link 25 is actuated by the hydraulic cylinder 26 so as to vertically move the roll socket 23. A toggle link is formed by links 28 and 29, and an end of the link 28 is connected to the stay 31, and an end of the link 29 is connected to the overhang support 27; the hydraulic cylinder 30 is actuated so as to swing the overhang support 27 taking the pin 32 as the fulcrum. The overhanging transport vehicle 16 is moved by the hydraulic cylinder 17 in the direction perpendicular to the rolling line. The upper and lower work rolls 8 and 9 are placed on the side shift frame 19 and are traveled parallelly to the rolling line, and the replacement of old rolls by new ones is carried out.

    • PURPOSE:To compact the title mover and to cope with a short stroke by providing a cylinder on the housing side of a rolling mill, fitting a cylinder on a keeper plate to oppose it and moving the roll by the combination of both these cylinders in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:Blocks 9 are fitted on the housing 1 and a roll 4 is equipped between the blocks 9. A chock 10 having an arm 11 to move the roll during rolling is fitted on the roll 4. Cylinders 12 are provided in the blocks 9, while cylinders 14 are equipped in keeper plates 13, too, to allow the roll 4 to move in an axial direction. When hydraulic power is worked on each cylinder 14 to exhaust the oil of each cylinder 12, the roll 4 travels in a D-direction and when the cylinders 12, 14 are acted in opposition to this, the roll 4 travels in a W-direction. When the roll 4 is to be changed, the hydraulic pressure in each cylinder is set in zero and the keeper plate 13 is moved.

CONSTITUTION:The heights of a vertical roll chock 4 and horizontal chocks 5, 6 are adjusted via a sled 2 and cartridge 3 by changing the thickness of a liner 12 at the rolling time and the height of each roll 7, 8, 9 is set to the center in the thickness of a rolling mill. At the roll recombination time, a rail 13 is ascended and the heights of a turret 2, chock 6, chock 4 and chock 5 are held constantly via spacer rods 14, 15, 16. On the other hand the cartridge 3 is supported by pushing it up with a cylinder, a door 19 is rotated and the sled 2 is pulled out to the operation side. In the case if taking off rolls 7, 8, 9 together with the cartridge 3 the sled 2 is pulled out to the operation side after mechanically linking the sled 2 and cartridge 3 in the state of descending the cartridge 3.

    • PURPOSE:To improve biting properties of a material to be rolled, and to give a desired backside tension, by press-clamping the material to force-feed it into between rolling rolls, and making a pressing force of a sheet feeding device which gives a backside tension to the material after said feeding, at the time of rolling larger than said force at the time of feeding based on the moving quantity of clamping members. CONSTITUTION:When an arrival of the tip of a material 1 to be rolled is detected by a position detector 11, the position of the tip is successively obtained by an arithmetic circuit 12 from signals of a detector 9 of the number of revolutions. At the time when the tip protrudes by a prescribed quantity after passing through the space between open clamping members 4 and 5, a stop signal is given to a driving device 10 of feed rollers 8 from a circuit 12. Next, a command for setting a large pressing force is given to a controlling device 13 for driving a pressing cylinder from the circuit 12, and after clamping, starting signals are given to a controlling device 14 for driving a moving cylinder 7, and to the device 10. The time, when the tip of the material is moved to the position from which the tip is forced into the rolls 2 and 3, is detected, the moving of the material is stopped, and then commands are given to each drive controlling device so as to change the pressing force to a small force capable of giving a prescribed backside tension.

    • PURPOSE:To make the sheet-pass guide unnecessary to be hoisted out of the mill when the V-roll is to be rearranged, by installing the sheet-pass guide so as to be movable perpendicularly to the sheet-pass direction. CONSTITUTION:At interchanging the V-roll 1 of the V-mill in which the sheet-pass guide 8 is placed at the middle of the mill, the driving spindle 2 is hoisted by the pull-back cylinder 3, and is detached from the oval plate 4 of the V-roll; and the screw down motor 5 is driven to move the V-roll 1 to the middle of the V-mill by the screw 6. Hereupon, the sheet-pass guide 8 placed in the middle of the V-mill is installed so as to be movable perpendicularly to the sheet-pass direction; hereby, the sheet-pass guide 8 strikes the V-roll 1 and moves from the middle 7 of the V- mill; then, the V-roll 1 is moved to the middle 7 of the mill without dismantling the sheet-pass guide 8. Next, the crane is inserted into the middle of the V-mill driving apparaus, and hoists the V-roll 1 upward and carries it away. According to the present method, the time of rearrangement for the V-roll is shortened.
